I'm willing to bet Jon said no on the idea of living on Baton Rouge, and that carries a lot of weight for Pat. Jon likes Corvallis, and to move to a place with unfamiliar people would be a burden for him. Hey Kerry, Pat and Susan have four children. Not five. |

Not to nick pick but "fell to the Tigers again in three games in the 2017 Super Regional" is, of course, incorrect. The Beavs did not play LSU in a Super Regional in 2017. They did lose two games to them in the 2017 CWS in Omaha however. |

You can believe what you want when it comes to Pat Casey and LSU, but I can tell you it was LSU that backed off of hiring Pat. I'm so glad....And if they are backing off because of the Heimlich thing, it's laughable. Pat Casey would class-up LSU instantly The Luke stuff has nothing to do with why I wasn’t a fan of Pat coming to LSU. My reasoning is that I don’t like the idea of replacing a 63 yr old coach that is retiring because of health reasons with a 62 yr old coach that retired for health reasons 3 years ago. |

I am hoping Mitch was the right hire. We will see. However, the one thing I want for certain next season is that Mitch throws his best pitcher against LSU in the early season tournament and kicks LSU butt. Those hypocritical bastages are lower on my scale than the duckers. I didn’t think it was possible to be lower than the duckers.

Then this week on Baton Rouge sports radio he said that was pretty much said LSU backed off after that. |

Honestly, I couldn’t figure out why LSU wasn’t looking for some young stud. |

Honestly, I couldn’t figure out why LSU wasn’t looking for some young stud. You and me both. I’m expecting we find out who the next coach will be this week. Unless it’s Bianco and Ole Miss wins this weekend. |

Apparently, OSU couldn't really keep him off the field anyway.....although Pat did seem to be behind Luke. The stuff I saw from LSU fans pertaining to LH seemed like a pitchfork mob mentality. Seems to me, the LSU admin would have cooler heads in considering the LH thing.....but maybe they thought it was too much of a distraction, I dunno...... I could see it being a combo of that, Pats age, and his dedication to his family and not wanting to uproot them as being kind of a mutual decision to go another direction |

[br Casey retired because he was tired and his son is on the team. He has no health problems. Probably in the top 1% in his age group for health and fitness. He sweats all the details and lives and dies with every pitch so he can get run down. He simply the best in the business and in a 5 year window there are no young guys that would be better. |
