If KF leaves maybe it would be a good time to advance the coaching career one of the players that had success during the Rueck era.
Not sure how many of Rueck's past players have embarked on a coaching career, but Deven Hunter is currently on the staff of Univ. of San Diego.

Another complicating factor no matter what happens, Katie announced she was pregnant on Instagram yesterday, due in October. That’s going to be a factor no matter where she is coaching. Well congrats to Katie!

Hearing that KF is heading north. The ultimate betrayal if it is to the leg humpers. These two were THE recruiters. Big loss for Scott. You’re not giving Jonas enough credit. He’s a very good recruiter and he’s been doing it since before the other two coaches were even here.

I understand the desire for growth in any Profession. Certain personalities are driven by career challenges , some by Financial goals ( combination of both ). At the same time , there is usually a little hesitancy when it comes to 'new' situations . If I was in that business( and I am not ), it seems like going from one program to another has potential for both a big upside as well as an even bigger downside ! UW is pretty full of itself and the fans and donors can be a nasty bunch if 'they' think they are not getting performance that meets their high ( and as with osu - sometimes unrealistic ) expectations. So, if KF does leave - I would wish her the best, and also hope that she does not get the cruel side of coaching treatment, wherever she ends up ! Go Beavers ! I sincerely doubt the evil nasty big shot UW boosters/donors pay much attention to wbb.

There is a very good chance that there are more and better opportunities for her husband in the Seattle area.
This next year is going to be very interesting for the Beavs, lots of changes.

The coach that drives the program has been and continues to be Coach Rueck. While I'm sorry to lose coaches I've enjoyed, it's very unlikely that losing them will change the direction of the program. CR has hired good coaches in the past and will do so again. The life of the assistant is the vagabond.
Also, I believe that Katie's husband recently lost his coaching job at Corban. There were surely family dynamics involved in her decision to move on. I doubt if her ambition to be a head coach someday is advanced more by being at UW than OSU.
Finally, I've got to pay more attention to rmancarl.

Now that two assistants are gone, what are the chances that Eric Ely would be invited back? Looking forward to hearing your thoughts.

Tracking who is following who coupled with personal knowledge of players and coaches (history, family situation, etc.) is turning out to be good detective work.

Now that two assistants are gone, what are the chances that Eric Ely would be invited back? Looking forward to hearing your thoughts. I'm intrigued by this question. I believe Ely was well respected, but I have no idea how much of a contributor he was to the program when he was here. For example, I don't know how important he was to the recruiting process....He obviously knows the Corvallis area well enough to know if he would like to return - or not... I'd be interested in learning more about whether getting Ely back on staff would be considered a big step forward. Or not. Shifting gears: No one has mentioned Sydney Weise as a possible addition the program. I don't follow WNBA close enough to know if she is earning floor time, if she is planning to remain a player a few more years, or if she is getting ready for a change in how she earns her livelihood..... Does Syd also play ball in Europe? I've felt for a long time that she would be a great addition to the program. She is a player who can play, she's possessed of an outgoing, upbeat disposition, she's bright, and I assume she could turn into a damn good recruiter without a lot of mentoring. Now whether she can coach I have no clue....I'd apreciate hearing from those who ideas on these topics.... GO BEAVS!!

All I have ever heard Syd say about her long term future plans is that she wanted to get into the media side as a broadcaster. Last I heard she was finally finding floor time for LA. During the off session she played overseas last year at least.
At least one of the replacements should have p5 experience, not necessarily as an associate.

I wonder if Patricia Bright might be interested, although she's still an awesome player in Eastern Europe right now. Well spoken, works very hard. Just asking :^)
