Based on her age and first few games I’ll go for door # 1 I went with top 20. It's still early and best of all time is a high bar.

I would go as far as betting on her being in the top 10 by the time she’s done here!

For me it's all about how much you improve, and it's a little hard to determine how that will go for TVO after two games. Gulich after two games would not have been on my list of top 20, but at the end of her career she's in the top 5.

and after a few weeks of his rookie season you might have picked Willie Mays to be cut by July - I think she's going to be all Pac-12 by her soph year, but let's not put pressure on her to dominate the rest of the league yet.

For the all-time great, who would she beating out for that spot?

For the all-time great, who would she beating out for that spot? I've thought about that a few times before, but I think it's gotta be Syd. 4 time all-pac-12. Leading 3 pt shooter in conference history. 3 Pac-12 titles. Solid WNBA career.

Carol Menken was pretty amazing. Still holds many OSU records. Led the country in scoring and FG% the same season. And like Syd a really nice person.

Coach Chatterton was on the JoeBeaver show today. He just raved about her instints...maybe the most instinctual player he has seen at osu. Gonna be a star no doubt...and a point guard to boot. This allows Goforth to play off the ball and hit open 3's.

Way too soon for me. On the other hand, I am amazed by some of the things I have seen even against a very decent WSU. She drives to the basket and she makes a good pass to an open player before she is in deep crap. I have already commented on her basketball IQ when she is away from the ball. She is probably already figuring out that a lazy flip of the ball doesn't work at this level which is my only really negative thing I have seen so far.
One thing that has changed is that I am more than anxiously waiting for future games to see how the team does rather than dreading the games.

Osu has always been very good at rebounding. I am paraphrasing, but the team has to realize it's a 5 person job to rebound. Going through some poor rebounding games,Chatterton is hoping the team will step up after going through this. He said it's not like the team doesn't work on rebounding. Loved the way Goodman stepped up last week-end. Having Talia at point opens up the game for some of our shooters to just spot up and hit the three. That's all I can remember. Talia does a great job at practice too paying attention and learning.

I picked "top 20", but I would have picked top 5 if it were an option.
By the end of this season I'm hopeful that TVO will allow Aleah to move to her natural position (G, minus the "P").
Wouldn't be surprised if in March of 2024, Talia is the all-time Beaver leader in Pts & maybe Assists.
Those (including Coach Chatterton) that are ga-ga over her court awareness and smarts are totally on the money. It typically takes a while for the game to 'slow down' for a player coming in from High School - and in a 'normal' season, that would mean informal summer play (and every few years a trip to Italy), weeks of official scrimmage, then an exhibition or two against Div. 2, and then some non-conference games, and then finally PAC 12. Talia walked smack into PAC-12 and has held her own (though very small sample size).
