Well, I personally don't think KB's absence is the problem here. She didn't provide any offense to speak of and surely our defense with out her and our offense is good enough to beat SC if we can beat ASU. Something is wrong with the team. That's what is smells like to me.

This disaster started when TC went down!

Well we beat a few top 25 teams without TC this year so my feeling is that it's not TC's absence that is the problem. No doubt she would be an immense help but we did quite well with out her up until this weekend and last.

Is it possible there's a 'cancer' on the team? That was big coach speak back in the day.

More like a lack of chemistry. Too many ball-dominant players and not enough ball movement.

This disaster started when TC went down! Everyone says it when KB went down but your spot on. That is when it started with TC

When you have almost as many turnovers as there are fans in the arena, you're going to lose most games. We outrebounded them handily, shot roughly the same percentage. But we had 20 turnovers, and they had 8. Can't spot 'em 12 possessions and expect to beat 'em.
The cancer idea is preposterous.

The person KB would have guarded (Pili) gets 13 rebounds and is 10/14 and gets 26 points. And KB is a good rebounder and defender. But her being out had nothing to do with the Beav's losing the game. Despite this being the first game the Beav's have lost to an unranked team. You guys are out of your freaking minds.

Is it possible there's a 'cancer' on the team? That was big coach speak back in the day. Oh brother. I only threw that out there in response to a pattern of frustration on the board concerning turnovers, poor ball movement, etc.. it's a not so serious pondering for why the message isn't getting through. I do believe much of the frustration with our circumstances has to do with the fact that our beloved team is stalling out while our tinseltown neighbors move toward being the next UConn. It sure doesn't sit well with me but it's one of those serenity prayer things. Expectation's a bitch.

I would think Chemistry is not the problem. What I think is we are not offensive enough because of Scott’s desire to run a ball control slow methodical using the clock rather than take open shots when we seem to think we will get better ones. Too many turnovers to be good and not enough depth. We dis whiff on some recruits. Our style may have something to do with that. Also the tiff with USC regarding racism and the lack of minority players affects us.Almost like someone is using that against us in Recruiting. Staff needs to address that as well as adjust style of play to create faster pace more interesting style with more talented subs. 10 point quarters will not cut it. My hope is we will rebound next Year. It seems like we forget Aquino situation which is ongoing may never see Her on the court. That was a big deal. Really hoping we can change offensive philosophy which to Me seems to be solved without lights out shooters.

Is it possible there's a 'cancer' on the team? That was big coach speak back in the day. I don't think do. The players seem to interact positively with each other. Great difficulty finishing games. They have held leads at halftime in four of the six losses. Opposing teams are making effective adjustments defensively on us in the second halves of games.

1. Janessa and Maddie simply are not Pac-12 level impact players. It pains me to say it, especially since they're seniors, but they aren't. They just don't have good enough skill sets for their 6-1 size, and neither are very athletic. At this point, we're pretty much going to have one of those two in the game at all times, and we're never really going to be able to expect more than a combined 4-6 points out of them. Kennedy was not providing a whole lot offensively (but certainly more than Washington or Thropay can), but having 6'6" down there changed the game. We really need an impact player at the 4, but we don't have one.
2. Taylor needs to get a little stronger and diversify her game. She's only a freshman, and this is something that will come with time, but the physicality seems to be catching up with her some. Hopefully she can do all that in the off season. I hope Jelena will be more of a physical post player down low, to complement Taylor's finesse game.
3. Destiny did not seem to be herself until it was too late.
4. We can talk about the recruiting losses and struggles, but we also have to acknowledge that 50% of our HS recruits since 2017 were physically unable to play in that game and for the rest of the season.
5. Maybe a lack of ability to create offense? It just seems like only Mik and Destiny can create offense, which makes our offense seem really stagnant. Katie had her struggles last season, but she could create offense better than Kat and Aleah.

Is it possible there's a 'cancer' on the team? That was big coach speak back in the day. Oh brother. Cancer? Chemistry? Seems to me its more of a unspecified heart issue, two knees and a torn hamstring not cancer. Incredibly bad luck.
