But this season there is the added incentive that the conference champion will most likely be seeded in the Portland Regional (being hosted by OSU). OSU would love to have the opportunity to win their way to the Final Four without leaving the state. I will be shocked if we beat uo this year. Stanford will be tough also, and it will be a long shot for us to host that regional. A little negative there don't you think. Stanford was tied with Washington at the half and are really nothing special. uo is very, very beatable. Teams just happen to have their worst offensive games against them and they have no defense what so ever.

I think it will be very much like last year. UO is clear favorite, but I believe whoever wins the PAC-12 is going to have 2 or more losses. With Taya in the line-up this year, I would be far more bold about our ability to take a game from UO this year. Our guard play is as good (or better) than UO, but UO has the advantage with Sabally and Hebard. I don't see any of the PAC-12 teams beating OSU by 20+ this year, as has happened to us in the past 2 seasons. But, every team has an off game, and, it depends how well you are playing defensively as to if you can squeak out a win ugly.

Aleah bringing up the ball is affecting her offense imho. Hope the 3 ball comes back for them. Great game by destiny. Is Rueck thinking longer term/continuity....re: Slocum goes pro and Aleah is our full time PG next season? Aleah and Destiny play the point very differently. Rueck has Aleah play the primary point because of her control. There is a more controlled half court offense. Destiny is a dynamo and she runs the offense that way. It is great that we have two very different point guards, makes it hard to plan for. The other big difference is who is calling the plays. Rueck lets Aleah call a great majority of plays when she is the point. With Destiny, Mik, KTMac, and even Syd they would constantly look over for him to call the play. The last point guard that called plays was Sage and even then Rueck called most of the plays. It has actually changed where Rueck spends the game. With Aleah at point he spends time with the players on the bench whereas when he is calling the plays he is in front of the scorers table as close to center court as he can get.

We beat them twice when Sabrina and Ruthie were freshmen, and once in both their sophomore and junior years. So we are 4-2 against them during their tenure, they haven't swept us once, and we are 14-2 against them over the last 8 years.

And Taya is not the difference in us beating them.

If we’re hitting our shots and defending, we can definitely beat them. They experience and skill at the 4/5 spots worries me a little bit. We’ll no a lot more about our squad after UA and ASU.

That’s a stacked, veteran UO team. Don’t think we have a match up with Hebard or particularly Sabally. UO bench is probably stronger too. Wish for the best but those will be tough games, long shot games to win. Interesting that Realtime now has OSU winning out. Nice thought but I’m not buying that projection.

Ducks will score 100 or more against the Beavs, win by 40+. Oh, and Beavs shouldn't be in the top 25!! There's nothing like a true uck fan!!

UO has a very good bench with players wanting to show they deserve more minutes. As a result, the gas pedal stays on in garbage time, and makes their scores worse than they would with with most team's garbage time. Against UL, basically 6 players saw the floor, and they managed 62 points. That said, they start 4 players expected to get drafted high, so beating them will take a much better offensive effort than we're generally bringing.
I don't know if we get them this year or not, but I expect dogfights once again, simply because of Rueck + Defense.
