Another top 20 team. I seem to remember some people bitching about OSU have a to easy pre conference schedule. Yep that's their ranking.... But, the Beavs are shooting lights out, and really not getting much help from the bigs. So, when I watch games like this I start to doubt rankings. I'm not talking the top 8-10 or so. I think in WBB that's fairly straight forward. However, after that I think it is a crap shoot. In saying the Beavs are playing/shooting well, I do not see Miami as a top 5-6 team in the Pac12, so not sure what I see... at home, vs competition that should inspire a great perfomance... is a top 20 team?! Maybe this isn't the "true" Miami team, but count me unimpressed on several levels. The great news is that those that make these decisions have Miami ranked this high so this road win helps OSU immensely with the National folks who hadn't seen them this year. In the end, you play the games on the schedule one at a time. this was a GREAT showing on the road. |

Very impressive road W.
Miami's Beatrice Montpremier, considered by some to be the best post in the college game, held to 13 points on 6/16 shooting, 7 rebounds.
Lots of turnovers. We committed 16. On the plus side, we forced 16.

Kennedy is a work in progress on the offensive end, but man can the kid play some defense. We held Mompremier to 13 points on 6-16 FG and 7 rebounds. That is a pretty big win in my books. She and Hebard are the best two posts we'll see.

She and Hebard are the best two posts we'll see. I thought Maddie had a good game too. Definitely. She uses her frame really well. I like how she is being used more this year than last year when she was forced to play in the low post because she was our best option. She brings a lot of toughness and physicality off the bench. |

On the plus side, we forced 16. She was averaging 20/10 coming into the game. Two freshman just took her down a notch, and she didn’t get much help. This was a game that should have challenged OSU. They didn’t play particularly well on offense, but the defense was very good. I’m glad they have been challenged so far at least in the preseason. |
