First half impressions:
Beavers getting a taste of road referees - a couple calls that could have been made or not made.
We need to get better at setting screens, and the guards need to get better about running the defender into the screen - might be our two biggest players (on the floor) are first year players.....
Kennedy cold from the floor. Did some good things on defense, but needs to be more assertive establishing defensive rebounding position.
Mik drove early, then sort of backed off (or did they start defending her different?)
Aleah has not asserted herself much yet.
Taylor also relatively quiet, Miami seems to be dropping down another player on her.
Need to create some distance between us and them in the second half.....and warm up from the 3.
Also need to close out better on their midrange/outside shots.
It's early, and I am really gratified to see a bunch of places where the Beavers could still dramatically improv.....
We are doing pretty well against a top-20 team, but room to improve, even in the next 2 quarters.

OSU still relying on the 3 ball a bit too much, 20 of the 33 shots, but if you hit them it'll open up the rest of the offense. |
