Except that we aren't seemingly allowed to play the same kind of physical style on our end. At home. Interesting... Not sure if you're in attendance or watching TV...but, our play isn't aggressive and physical. It's out of position, lack of footwork and finesse reach and grab. Leading to a remarkable number of wide open mid-range jumper by Gonzaga.

Obviously not going to outcoach SR, but the lack of early season development of PM, especially when JT went down, baffles me?! I thought she'd be a factor by game 20 or so. It's like a wasted year... If Janessa is ready to go, I’d liked to have see some of her in the second half. Jo simply can’t guard the Wirth sisters. Someone... Jo's upside doesn't outweigh her downside. JT might be the most foul prone of anyone, but let her use them.

It is my impression that other teams are very effective at getting open mid-range shots against Beaver teams... every year, not just this year. Has anyone else noticed that? Is Rueck’s defensive strategy inherently susceptible to it? At the same time, Rueck seems to under-utilize the mid-range shot. I haven't heard him say it, but I suspect it's intentionally part if his focus on FG efficiency. Most teams don't shoot them at a much higher % than the 3, and it being worth 50% less makes them broadly avoided. More on that here: nbamath.com/the-nbas-changing-art-of-mid-range-jumpers/Just like shifts in baseball, you play the odds - sometimes it doesn't work out of course.

You know, when you get whistled for being physical on one end, and they are letting it go on the other what do you do? You have to sag off. Hopefully Rueck can get them to be more proactive in the 2nd but you can't buy calls. Big difference in seeing the whole game in person. The calls haven't been uneven... period. Plus, friends at home say alt ESPN feed is horrible

Players drive and everybody else stands around, nobody looking for the dish. What is happening?!

We get nothing from Katie Mac on the offensive end. Kat would be raining triples from that position.

Slocum really turned it up a notch, and the team followed. Chandler Smith heads to the bench with four fouls.

3rd quarter key: Those wide open 12-15 jumpers have disappeared. Nice halftime locker room adjustment.
