BH and Txell Alarcon, a 5'11 PG from Sant Adria Spain have started following each other on twitter. Txell was a starter for Spain' U16 team last year. She appears to be a 2021 recruit who has garnered interest from other majors in the US. Just a name to keep an eye on. [b Sorry, who is BH? And any guesses on how you pronounce Txell. I'm guessing Shell or Shay. Associate head coach Brian Holsinger. I think he does most of our European recruiting.

Coach Holsinger has now started following another member of the Alarcon family. Txell looks like a pretty good point guard. Guess I'll try to watch more video.

She played an off-guard position. Perhaps as she developed she became a point guard, but from what I see her I wonder whether she would really be what we need. She is #8 in the red uniform.

With three Stanford recruits choosing Texas and Notre Dame (2x) over the past week, I fully expect Tara to be putting the full court press on Talia.

Could the news be out that she is retiring soon ?

Could the news be out that she is retiring soon? There have been rumors of Tara retiring for the past 5 years and those rumors haven't been hurting recent Stanford recruiting classes. She is still chasing Pat Summitt's all-time D1 wins record and should get there if she can coach one more season. Geno is right on her heels in terms of wins, so that may prompt her to hang in there a few more years. Tara turns 67 in two months. I wouldn't expect Tara to retire during the next three years. Associate head coach Kate Paye is ready to take over the reins once Tara retires, but Paye may be waiting a while to do so.

Thanks - good to have a realistic view . I was just wondering why she was losing out on her primary targets - recently ! Hope we can get Scott’s needs covered, both for ‘20 ( true PG )and ‘21

Speaking of 2021's, does anyone know much about Lexi Hernandez of Lynden Christian High School in Washington? Her sister was a freshman at SDSU this past year. Just curious if Lexi is as good as her sister, and whether she may be able to play at Pac-12 level.

So many connections to the 2021 recruits. It's really awesome. Jersey Wolfenbarger - Played for the Banshees with Goforth. Kelbie Washington - Played for the Banshees with Goforth. Payton Verhulst - Played 3x3 with Goforth, in touch with Brown's family. Greta Kampschroeder - Played 3x3 with Goforth. Talia von Oelhoffen - Played in Italy with Jones and Brown. Greta is committed. I think only Payton has committed elsewhere... what thoughts might you have for the remaining players?

I think Wolfenbarger is going to Arkansas. I would be surprised if she headed elsewhere. I think it’ll come down to Oregon State or Stanford for von Oelhoffen.

I think you are right about Jersey Wolfenbarger. Unfortunately for OSU, Stanford lost out on their top 2021 targets of Olivia Miles, Payton Verhulst, Sonia Citron, (and of course Greta Kampschroeder), so I agree with others that Stanford is surely working very hard on Talia von Oelhoffen at the guard postion. I hate to be pessimistic, but I can't see OSU beating out Stanford for a top player for the second time this year. I hope SR and company have good players targeted in Plan B...a good transfer who can play 2 seasons and some good players for 2022.

Bad news for OSU, but few should be too surprised by this. All hope rests with Talia now as a second recruit for 2021.

Actually Stanford has a top 5 2021 recruit and possible two more top 10 players possible. And more . That said sad about Jersey not coming west

Actually Stanford has a top 5 2021 recruit and possible two more top 10 players possible. And more . That said sad about Jersey not coming west In my earlier post about Stanford now being extra motivated to recruit Talia, I believe it is the case because she is more than likely the top guard left on their board that they feel they have a great chance at. For your other 3 top 10 Stanford recruits, I assume you are referring to Brooke Demetre as the top 5, but she is front court player. I'm fairly certain they are also going after Okikiola Iriafen but she is a forward as well. I don't know who the other top 10 player is that you refer to. Don't know if they have offered No. 1 Azzi Fudd (a guard) or not, but she is a UCONN lean. Stanford doesn't seem to be heavily pursuing her. They may have interest in PG Jzaniya Harriel, but she is ranked 52 and most likely a lower priority than Talia.
