 Ok this is a cropped image of the recruit I saw. She looked familiar... can anyone id? Seems there's a pretty good chance this is Jersey Wolfenbarger... which would mean she's at least had an unofficial visit.  |

beaveroracle - - It would really be helpful, at least to me, if in addition to a 3 word assertion, you would provide a bit of context so that the average person would have a clue why you sat what you say.

Whether she has visited OSU or not, I can't say. Only that the photo shown isn't her. Edit: I guess I really shouldn't express it so confidently. The photo isn't high resolution so I could be wrong. But I'm pretty sure it's not her. |

This feels like CSI. I agree that it doesn't look like a lot of pictures of Wolfenbarger, particularly in that the face structure in that image looks wider than Wolfenbargers's. However, if you zoom into the low-res image, you'll notice that her ear is blended into the face shape because of the poor resolution, making it look rounder than it actually is.
Regardless, it's a guess at best, but note that lighting and camera angles can do a lot of things. I've seen pictures of myself that I'd hardly believe was me due to lighting.
What does seem odd though is that beaverwbb_fan was looking for her specifically at the game that weekend (as I understood from his post), and didn't notice her there... if she was there, beaverwbb_fan seems the type that would definitely notice...

I'm amazed that this board has not figured this out yet. I'm sure a number of you have checked pictures to see if you can figure it out. I will confess that I have. I do think this looks more like Jersey than any other person I've seen so far, but I don't think it is Jersey.
What makes this the hardest, nearly every picture you see of Jersey, and most other recruits, they are almost always smiling, and this girl is not smiling in this pic.
Somebody will figure this out yet....

Yeah, you see that defensive, not smiley look to her in the photo? That was her look the 5 minutes I saw her. Lets hope it wasn't Jersey LOL.

There were two recruits at that game. One the girl pictured and another with long red hair. The two knew each other as there was a little visiting going on during the game. The girl pictured was smiling most of the time the picture is not a good one as it was cropped out of a crowd shot.. My guess at the time was Jersey Wolfenbarger and Addison O'Grady. Both were similar in height

Looking at the list of OSU possibilities the only player that ESPN calls a PG is Jersey. Are there any other PG's Rueck seems to be going after or is it going to have to be switching someone over? Maybe Greta?

Maybe Greta? I wouldn't really consider Jersey a point guard. She has good handles but she doesn't have the foot speed to be a great point guard. Unless that is just a matter of the rest of her body catching up with her rapid height growth over the past two years. I think Payton Verhulst would be a great combo guard for us who could certainly play the point when called on to do so. If we can get her! |
