Definitely need some of those '21 guards.

Use of the word 'blessed' in her statement is perhaps a good sign for us. And here's yet another Washington native eschewing the Huskies.

ESPN lists Talia Von Oelhoffen as a 5* wing, 10th player overall, but Olsen says she is an "unselfish playmaker with skill set of a point-forward". So, i'm guessing she can play point guard (listed at 5'11"). Prospects Nation lists her as a 4* guard, 6'0", and the No. 27th player overall in 2021. more info: www.prepgirlshoops.com/2019/11/top-2021-announces-top-5/

It's the players from the Puget Sound/greater Seattle area going elsewhere that hurts. They do have an incoming '20 commit from Spokane area, that's definitely unusual for them.
edited--looking at newduke's link, they have top 5 by class in the State of Washington listed in the righthand column w/ a pull down tab. Now if the Huskies can't nab Huard, #2 from the '21 class or Wynn #3 from '22, something is SERIOUSLY wrong. Huard is a legacy, both of her parents were student athletes at UW, and Wynn is the daughter of the HC and one of the assistant coaches.

I gotta say, of the 5, Oklahoma? Why? Don't see the draw. They've gone way downhill since earlier in Coale's tenure.

I guess OU has been on her pretty hard. I was surprised to see no Oregon, but I guess that is a good sign considering how well they’ve been recruiting.
I guess von Oelhoffen, Wolfenbarger, Kampschroeder, and Verhulst are the top recruits.

Danika Brown is a great unofficial recruiter. She knows what it takes to be a Beaver.

So many connections to the 2021 recruits. It's really awesome.
Jersey Wolfenbarger - Played for the Banshees with Goforth.
Kelbie Washington - Played for the Banshees with Goforth.
Payton Verhulst - Played 3x3 with Goforth, in touch with Brown's family.
Greta Kampschroeder - Played 3x3 with Goforth.
Talia von Oelhoffen - Played in Italy with Jones and Brown.

Why limit ourselves to 1 or 2? Other schools in conference have years when they pick up 4 or 5 top 100 recruits. The school whose name is never spoken did it in 2016 and 2020, Stanford did it in 2019, UCLA did it in 2014, and even USC did it in 2019. Should about be our turn. shouldn't it?

Not a good idea to recruit in "bunches" What you want is losing 2-3 seniors per year.... not having to fill an entire roster of graduating seniors. That's why Scott has a streak of being in the "Sweet 16." How well will Oregon do next year after losing three key starters (would have been six seniors had not some transferred) and having five freshman? Will they make the "sweet 16" in 2020? Doubt it!!

They'll have Chavez, Boley, Satou, Nyara, Prince, etc. and the #1 recruiting class in the nation. Sweet 16 sounds likely.

BUT - They will be without Ms Flop. If they don't do something this year, it is only going to get tougher for them - and don't forget the transfer portal - seems pretty easy to lose some unhappy 5 stars... for everyone !
