Not a good idea to recruit in "bunches" What you want is losing 2-3 seniors per year.... not having to fill an entire roster of graduating seniors. That's why Scott has a streak of being in the "Sweet 16." How well will Oregon do next year after losing three key starters (would have been six seniors had not some transferred) and having five freshman? Will they make the "sweet 16" in 2020? Doubt it!! Oh, I agree wholeheartedly with that sentiment, but a 'bunch' in my mind is 5. If you recruit 4 players one year, and 3 players in three years, that's only 13 scholarships. We currently have 4 seniors, 2 juniors (excluding Taya), 3 sophomores (including Taya), and 4 freshmen (excluding Andrea, but including Noelle). As of right now, we will have 2 freshmen next year, which would mean an 11 player roster, 10 on scholarship. That equates to 8 returning scholarship players in 2021, plus whoever we recruit. It would behoove us to sign 4 for 2021.

I do agree though that 3 is what they should shoot for with the occasional 2 and 4 thrown in. Multiple 4's or a 5 would be a bunch.

If anyone is interested: I’m guessing they’re two hours ahead?

Watched some of Payton’s game, and she runs the one for her team. She is extremely athletic and bouncy. At 6-1, I could see her playing a similar role to Syd (a big PG) with Sasha, Talia, Greta, Savannah, Jersey, whatever guards choose the Beavers on the wings.

During Rueck's interview tonight on Beaver's Sports Talk (6:30 pm 12-10-2019), he said they had a "special guest" at practice today. He avoided saying "her" name, so I imagine it was a recruit. Anyone have an idea who it was?

Would be interesting to see how strong the Beavs interest is in Ally VanTimmeren. All the coaches follow her, and her and other Beavs recruits (Greta, Payton, Bree) all know each other pretty well.

Could the special guest be one of the members on the current squad ? Andrea or Jelena ?

Could the special guest be one of the members on the current squad ? Andrea or Jelena ? Don't think so. Both of those players have participated in drills at practice. So, I don't think that would be special news that the head coach would make a point to make on a radio show.

A couple of updates on some 2021 prospects HS Seasons: - Kelbie Washington's Norman HS team defeated Jersey Wolfenbarger's Northside HS team 66-61 in overtime on December 7. Kelbie Washington had 19 points (5-12 FG, 8-8 FT), 5 rebounds, 3 assists, and 4 steals. Wolfenbarger posted totals of 21 points (7-21 FG, 2-7 3FG), 5 rebounds, 4 assists, and 1 steal. - Payton Verhulst's Bishop Miege team will travel down to Arkansas to play in the Northside Holiday tournament which is hosted by Jersey's team. The two could meet on December 14th. Wouldn't be surprised if a coach or two were in the area.

Thanks for sharing! I really think we get two of von Oelhoffen, Verhulst, and Kampschroeder. I think Kampschroeder will be the first of the three to commit, and I think we're doing very well with her. This marks the third known third trip the staff has made out to Illinois for Greta this fall/winter.

Obviously Greta is a top target for OSU...cool that beaver coaches were at that game, but apparently none from Stanford or Iowa. It would be wonderful if she commits to OSU and does so early! Then a couple other top recruits follow her lead and pick OSU as well! Pretty sure Verhulst, Kampschroeder, and Jersey Wolfenbarger have been teammates of Sasha Goforth (3x3 team for V and K, Arkansas Banshees for W)
