#1 Guard in 2020 commits to the *ucks. Fortunately it isn't Van Lith! It is Sydney Parrish. I'm sure she's good, but I'd rather have Van Lith. Actually ESPN has Parrish is #11, rated lower than Van Lith (HVL is #2... UCONN got #1 Paige Bueckers) with a 97 rating vs. HVL at 98.

Yeah, 2020 is an extremely good class for PGs. 6 PGs in the top-10.
I love Van Lith. Watched her in the 3x3 a little this weekend, just so strong and crafty.

So how can you be the top guard in the class, yet have six PGs ranked above you?
Nice reacharound by Graves.

Yes...ESPN separates PG from G. So when Van Lith signs with us...that gives a PG. She would be a Freshman when Solcum is a Senior. My question is..... who are we recruiting in 2020 as a 2 guard?

Goforth is the big one that comes to mind. The staff appears to be doing quite well with her, and there seems to be a high level of mutual interest. She is reportedly down to Oregon State and Arkansas. She is a perfect fit. Caitlin Clark is the other guard that comes to mind, but she is certainly more a PG than a 2-guard. I would say a keep up with recruiting quite a bit and I don't know anyone else really. There are some guards I like a lot in 2021 that may be better fits. Verhulst, von Oelhoffen, and Kampschroeder namely. All the prospects I referred to are either top-60 if 2020 or top-25 if 2021. I'm sure there are a few more targets outside those limits.

She has already been admitted to Stanford. She plays for the same AAU team as Ionescu and their coach Kelly Sopak seems to lovr Oregon. Hopefully that doesn’t play a role. I would have liked her here she is the definition of a point forward. Knowing oregon, they probably offered her a lifetime of free shoe shaped waffles at Waffle House, and a job at Nike ( in Guam ), after she completes four years of pine polishing for the aptly named Graves....Where WBB players careers go to die !

For others mystified by who this post refers to, I dug it up from Sept. 8th on this thread: Haley Jones.

All her offers....or all the schools she narrowed her choice to?

She may be a little overrated considering Notre Dame did not recruit her despite being in-state. Just my guess.

She's a player. Had a nice final 7 to choose from. You wonder though, how will she fit with Jaz Shelly and Holly Winterburn (2019 guard recruits), plus whoever else they may land in 2020 and beyond. I expect we may see another exodus at oregon in a year or two, but then, that's the norm in wbb right now.
I thought we may lose Jasmine Simmons with all the guards/wings still ahead of her going into next season.
