Shelley most likely to stay home. She is not close to Simmons so is not a positive sign in securing her. More Likely Oregon who are said to be favourites to get 6'5" Lucy Cochrane from the same team that won u17 worlds for Australia.

UO can have Cochrane, especially if we get Kennedy Brown. Both are much much better than Cochrane. I’m sure that if she did come here she could be very good, but I’d take Jones and Brown over her anyday atm.
As far as Shelley and Simmons not being close, I’m not sure how much of a factor that is. Simmons and Ezi were extremely close and that didn’t help.

And now we're being picky about which 4- or 5-star to take? Cochrane would be a real catch and a good fit for this program and we'd be lucky to get her.

UCLA has picked up a commitment from a 6-2 Canadian wing. USC has added Oregonian Alyson Miura to its 2019 class. Seems like they are changing how they recruit. She and Madison Campbell aren’t they typical players the used to recruit What exactly are the “typical” players they used to recruit?

6'3" Angel Jackson from Salesian College Prep in Richmond, California has verbally committed to USC. She will join her former high school teammate Minyon Moore at USC. I saw her play as a freshman in a holiday tournament. Jackson has improved and will benefit from additional conditioning at the next level. ESPN lists Jackson at #36 overall in the Class of 2019. www.espn.com/high-school/girls-basketball/recruiting/player/_/id/216452

I agree that Beaver Fans are expecting better and better recruits each year...This is, in part, because the expectations for how far the Beavs will advance in the NCAA tourney have also risen.
My guess is that most WBB fans will be disappointed if we don't make it to the Sweet 16 this season - many will be disappointed if we don't make the Elite Eight. Those kind of expectations, (probably shared by the coaching staff) are realistic based on the current roster talent and the coaching prowess the Beavs bring to Gill. However, these rising expectations cannot be met without star quality recruits. In everyday language that means reeling in 4* & 5* recruits EVERY year.
Shifting gears. Take a look at Casey's powerhouse baseball program. Those teams are built around the basketball equivalent of 4* & 5* players. When Nick Madrigal signed everyone in America who follows college baseball knew he was one of the very best in the country. Everyone wanted him. The Beavs got him.
Coach Rueck is trying to get to that kind of recruiting excellence. Translation: Sign quality people who are also 4* & 5* players.
At least that's how I see it.....
GO BEAVS !!

I too agree that Lucy Cochrane would be a great addition to this team. She looks to be a really good defender in a video of her I previously posted. Seems very mobile for 6-5 although a little raw on offense. These are the type of players Scott turns into stars. I was just saying that if we got to choose between Lucy Cochrane and Kennedy Brown and the other was going to Oregon, I’d take KB at this point.

Wow, UW adds a third 2019 commit over the past few days, 6-3 C Ali Bamberger. Other finalists were SDSU, UC Davis, and Boise State.

The *ucks are really going to miss McGuire and Malley. Their chances of going deep in the tournament just took another hit. They had better hope they stay injury free for the rest of the season. Oh wait, the great i can take on entire teams single handedly.

Assuming their lineup will be Cazorla, Ion, Boley, Sabally, and Hebard, the bench of Yaeger, Giomi, Gildon, and Chavez is short and fairly inexperienced. I don't see any of them having big games like McGuire did last year against us, and hopefully I'm right. Ion is likely so happy. Chavez, Ion, Yaeger, Gildon, and Giomi is the blowout lineup.

Not Pac-12 but I am astonished at how Tennessee can anually bring in top prospects. Added #2 6-1G Jordan Hortson. They started 4 top 15 prospects and another in the 40s. Scott easily proved he is the better coach by handily defeating them despite a terrible shooting day. Once we start bringing in those caliber prospects.. WATCH OUT and were already starting to
