Anybody know if Heimlich can program or setup cnc machinery? The company I'm working for needs programmers and machinists.

Since most high schools yarded out shop classes and sold all the ole lathes, drill presses etc, I’m going with a big no. But he can probably tell you all about other people’s feelings on social issues. Sorry. Better to stick with the 70 yo guy. |

Luke being undrafted, two years running, and the fact that he plead guilty to molesting a relative as a teenager is currently running on ESPN’s ticker right now. Right or wrong, it is clear how huge a PR issue this would have been had he been drafted.

I was just pondering how I might be able to use him in construction. we are on 147 National Championships....in a ROW!!!* *first liar doesn't have a chance  I'm sure his dad could get him hooked up in construction or some other self employment situ. I just wonder what he decides to do. Play coed rec league softball? I hear tell there is an under 40 league in Portland that ain't bad. |

Ya know, just think about this, if Danny hadn't snooped around for news to bash against the Beavers, Luke would be the 1st pick of the MLB 2018 draft. He would be getting endorsed left and right by companies as the most praised ace pitcher from Oregon State! And a gem among of the MLB pitchers.
Yeah Luke's past could possibly be brought up later by a reporter snooping around looking for dirt, but hey, Luke would have been a 1st round pick for sure if Danny Moran hadn't been looking for something to stab against the beavers baseball.
Sooo... Luke seriously needs to sue the hell outta Danny Moran and the damn Oregonian!!

Is it weird that a pitcher who is 25-5 with a 1.10 WHIP in 3 years in a tough D1 Conference (Fehmel) doesn’t get picked in the top 1,214 picks?
Greg Maddox fastball was below 90 mph for the second half (and more?) of his career.
Not to say that Fehmel IS Maddox (he's not)....but geez, 240 ip w only 65 BB and 200 hits....ERA of 3.02 and an .833 winning percentage ?? NOT in the top 1,214 picks?
I guess professional baseball's loss is OSU's gain (for 2019).

I was also really surprised by that fact and the only thing that I can think of is that he had already decided that he was coming back for his senior year for whatever reason and told everybody to leave them off their list. Otherwise it makes zero sense to me either, it is very weird. |

Way to completely miss my point. However the fact that those 2 don't have as much talent combined as Kapernick does just proves my point. The talent doesn't outweigh the distraction. You think any MLB GM wants to field questions about juvenile sex convictions? I didn't miss any point you were trying to make (and failing to, by your examples used, above). KC didn't have enough talent upside or he would've at least have been signed by some team (non-guaranteed contract) by now. He and his agent were making too many unreasonable demands at the outset after he opted-out from SF (who was going to cut him, anyway, before the next season). He has only himself to blame.
Then, after he dropped his agent and his GF became his "advocate", well ...
Great source...wonder why Sports Illustrated or none of the other sports magazines picked up this story. I would think this would have been big news that could sell a lot of magazines or get a lot of clicks... |

I would not like to be a fan of any team facing Luke the rest of the season. If he was focused before, he is going to be REALLY focused now. Show 'em Luke! I wish that were the case. I believe this has been a major distraction for him this year and is the reason why he has, at times, tried to carry too much of the load in front of a stellar defense. |
