Zack Taylor is draft eligible, but I'm not up to date on who has been taken today/haven't seen any Beavs taken today, day 3 is that correct? No Beavs today (at rd 32 as I type this). former Beav Mitch Hickey drafted in 28th rd by Mets unsure of any incoming kids other than Easley in 5th rd. A person named "Brhet" was just picked. We need to discuss how people are naming their kids these days.

I hope Luke seizes the moment like a pit bull. I wonder if his last performance was the anxiety/uncertainty about how the draft would play out. That's gone now, and he's been twice kicked to the curb no matter what happens from here (late round draft or FA offer to a first-round talent doesn't have another interpretation). I hope he pitches like it's his last game of his career, as it might indeed be. Going out with overpowering some high MLB draft pics at Omaha is still something most people can only dream about.

And... continue to use uneducated, uniformed verbiage to further sensationalize. At least 4 scouts had him 1st Rd talent taken in 3rd or 4th... IF front office would follow through. Every possible connection and background info was checked and ok. Thought I read somewhere else that confirmed at least 3 teams admitted he was on their board. But, alas it's a draft day regularity in all sports, those who know talent are often ignored for other reasons... some justified. In the case of Luke and MLB it's a farce. You can research every roster and find worse "people" somewhere in the top 40. Still say he'll pitch... for peanuts compared to what he's should get... and yes, he'll face a new round of scrutiny at every stop. It's today's "look at me... I've got a cause" society. But, he's talented enough and strong enough to persevere... if that's what he wants. I don't know Luke or his family, but we in our "circle" wondered if his regional performance was related to private conversations/negotiations with teams and whatever was said/happened they told him they had backed off. First, sensationalized verbiage from the media!?!!?!?!?!? Outrageous! Please tell me that no one in the media eye has ever had to defend against sensationalized verbiage before. Click, click, click, click, click, click. Listen, it's the media's job to sensationalize and build stories around misleading questions. It is what they do. It is like being mad at birds for flying. Lousy jaguar with its spots! Lousy zebra with its stripes. Second, the hysterical responses to standard media clickbait is to a point now that is rather comical. several posters on this board--including you, baseba11--do a better job of defending Heimlich than Heimlich does himself. He has stated that he "pled guilty," which is a "conviction." If Heimlich wanted to avoid the negative press, he should really work on speaking about his past in a less sensationalized way. Well... I could make this long and very drawn out (lets keep it to 3-4 paragraphs), but no need. No one has defended Luke per his actions, or correctly, those he was accused... and also repeatedly denied. A fact you personally omit each and every post. You are fast to mention his word choice in only one respect... the one that supports your personal bias. As far as the media, there are plenty of examples outside of Luke's situation where the media and the sensationalism they try/do create is mentioned and mocked. Again you only focus on this aspect with Luke's case as being why we bring it up. As someone in the legal profession I KNOW you are intelligent enough to realize that Beaver fans will jump on such media frenzy to "protect" their own. As for you personally. You have made it VERY clear you are anti-Luke. You are so bias you keep trying to find any little 'tidbit' to expose it. Trying to get some sort of self gratification I guess?? I just for the life of me don't get it! You've been proven WRONG multitudes of times on this board by both legal experts in the field related to this issue and everyday fans who have taken the time to gather the facts and truths of the actual issue and proceedings. Yet you persist in your immature and caustic posts regarding Luke. As someone that does not deal with this area or the law you certainly have more access to info, and colleagues that are and could provide you some "balance". You do not have to agree with what happened, or even how it was handled. BUT, it is the LAW. Those versed and far superior in their knowledge of that AREA OF THE LAW handled the case on both sides. The LAW was followed to the "T". And, Luke followed up on each and every one of his responsibilities as outlined by the LAW. He was never convicted... he was never found guilty... he no longer has a record... period. AND... most importantly Luke is a shining example of why the LAW exists in the first place. Don't like it, get it changed. By the way, Luke does not need defended, by me or anyone else. And he certainly doesn't need to defend himself... especially to those people so close minded who would only find a way to then attack him again. PS- on another personal side note... other than the Luke posts 99.9% of your posts are research of historical facts, but some you can just let go. NW vs NW St was obviously... well... ok... what about 'driveway' and 'parkway'??

After 20 rounds, Bruce still not picked. I suspect he'll be back next year. He has no eligibility remaining. He's done in college. Bryce is only a junior. He could come back.
