Stanford's on curfew watch. What does a tie do? Can't help us in the Pac 12 standings. running on 3-2 to stay out of ground ball DP, instead leads to a Strike em out Throw em out DP. Ugh. A simple 1 out bunt solves both issues!

Makes no sense to run there... NONE! If that is you thought process bunt the runners over to stay out of dbl play and you now have the winner at 3B and 7 ways to score from there! A lefty low average hitter at the plate, PLUS Adley did not have ANY secondary lead... went from a dead stop. If you think Adley can steal then he can score on a two out single. But, this handed Furd the extra out. . More surprised they didn’t PR for Adley as soon as he reached 2nd

Even the announcers are questioning the pitch call by Yeskie. Curve ball into his wheelhouse instead of the fastball on the outer part of the plate. Yeskie is still having a bad year. No asst coach of the year for hin in 2018.

In retrospect, maybe Abel pitched better than I thought

The one key aspect that will cost this team in the post season set up... the bull pen can't be trusted.
Rarely has OSU gotten back to back starts like this weekend, and a fully rested pen is of no help given a 6-1 and 6-2 lead.
It's the one area that had shown ZERO IMPROVEMENT.

Lets not forget, Stanford is the #2 team in the nation. And they have plenty of late inning comebacks this year.

Really pissed down our leg on that one. Still a series win against the #2 team. Brutal game today though!

Blew that game at the plate. Bases loaded in the 8th, 2 on in 9th, only got 1 with bases loaded and no outs in the 1st. Just an awful loss that probably costs us a conference title thanks to the WSU tie.

Stanford is very good. And deserved of their ranking. We had them by the throats but imho opinion, bad decision making by coaches cost us this particular game. We knew today would be "Johnny All Staff" and all pitchers would be needed. And yet, even when in trouble, we left them out there to continue to struggle instead of making wholesale pitching changes when needed. Got to call it like I see them.

But the Beavers brought in their best set-up guy, and he didnt have it today. The very good closer slipped. I don't know who else would be better than the Pearce and Mulholland.
