We were going to have to sweep Stanford to win the league, the tie does not change anything. not sure about the sweep, but we do need to win the series Stanford hasn't beat us in a series since 2010. Casey has 19 wins and 2 loss in 7 meetings. We OWN Stanford.

Huge series, in the end 3-2-1 vs WSU and Utah and Stanford 3-0 vs Utah with 3 vs WSU to go is likely going to be the difference in the standings..

Still scratching my head about the 1st Inning. Grambrel? Regressing! The more important event is the emergence of K. Abel. I think we have a new #3. Getting better each outing.

RPI wise, not a big deal at all...but hurts decently bad in Pac-12 standings as now basically 3 games out from Stanford....had a feeling we were going to score there once Kwan got a bunt down RPI-wise, a win and Oregon State is probably seventh. A loss and Oregon State is probably 10th. I am guessing 9th with the tie. Every non-win makes Oregon State's margin for error smaller. And every non-win magnifies the wins and losses of teams like Oregon and UCLA (teams that Oregon State should generally want to win, based on RPI considerations alone). Looking at the remaining schedule, I am saying 8-4 probably nets Oregon State a National Seed, depending on where the wins and losses come from. 10-2 would all-but clinch a National Seed.

Maybe Marty, Spence and the Cougs can help us out a little. At the very least, we must win the series this coming weekend. That's a given.

That first inning was hard to watch, at least it did not take long. I was under the impression based on comments in the newspaper this past week that we were going a different direction on Sunday with our starting pitching. Grant needs to keep working and stay positive, we will surely need him before this season comes to an end.

T4 Madrigal BB Larnach dinks a ball right over top of 3B lands just fair. Madrigal scores. Larnach at 2B that was a metal bat hit. Not well struck. Rutsch BB men on 1st & 2nd no outs Mound visit McFadden has only pitched 17+ innings on the year before moving to the rotation. Stamina may be in play Gretler ball to backstop and runners move up to 2nd & 3rd Gretler Kc pitching change McFadden out Block in. He's a lefty Malone K swing 2 out Nobach battling fouling off pitches/swings and misses for a K Probably about 12 pitches end of 3.5 Beavs 1 Cougs 5 I was surprised we didn't bring in a RH batter to face Block for Malone. Preston Jones seems like he would have been an option. SaveSave kersting13 please check your Benny's House messages and respond
