early start.
T1 Beavs go down 1/2/3....but Kwan got on HBP. Then was caught stealing as Grenier was squared to bunt. No replay so not a good look. My quick look said safe as the throw was early but the SS had a bit of a slow swipe. I think he got Kwan on the back. Casey argued hotly
B1a Kc on first hitter. 2nd guy hits a ball under Madrigals glove. Looked like a bit of a either short hop or bad hop on him. Scored a hit
balh, blah. blah Gambrell in trouble. 3 in for the Cougs
dang it. 1st & 3rd Gambrell gets a man off 1st on a 31 move. Adley throws into LF as man on 3rd was bluffing. A bad throw scores another. Cougs are scoring faster than I can keep up. By my count 3 errors. Madrigals was scored a hit though.
5-0 Cougs. 2 out B1. Able in Parker in Art Bell mode now. No...not dead, just conspiracy of umpires
Able gets the last out on a K
After 1 complete Beavs 0 Cougs 5

Gambrell not good but Madrigal needs to make the play on the 2nd hitter and Adley a terrible throw and then another by Kwan....meltdown.

5, 6 Hits, how does a guy like Gambrell get shelled. Then the "D". Did we just throw our Mitts out and leave the Heart at the Hotel?

Gambrell needs to learn to finish hitters off. He's got middle reliever "written all over him".

T4 Madrigal BB Larnach dinks a ball right over top of 3B lands just fair. Madrigal scores. Larnach at 2B that was a metal bat hit. Not well struck. Rutsch BB men on 1st & 2nd no outs Mound visit
McFadden has only pitched 17+ innings on the year before moving to the rotation. Stamina may be in play
Gretler ball to backstop and runners move up to 2nd & 3rd Gretler Kc pitching change McFadden out Block in. He's a lefty Malone K swing 2 out Nobach battling fouling off pitches/swings and misses for a K Probably about 12 pitches/most with a 1-2 count
end of 3.5 Beavs 1 Cougs 5 Cougs GO 3U FO 8 Kc
about a 10 pitch inning for Abel
End of 4 compolete Beavs 1 Cougs 5

Preston Jones seems like he would have been an option. SaveSave

sweeps don't just happen. Baseball is tough that way. The percentages eventually play out in the inferior team's benefit. Add the beavs sleepwalking and you get this. Still a long way from over.

Bright side, even if there’s no comeback: Beavs will have gone 3-1 on the week and have hopefully put to bed the quandary over who our Sunday pitcher is. Score: down 1-5 thru 4 innings.
