Good interview. Defense first and using that to start their offense. Sounds like she is going to be a great fit for the BEAVS.

LOL, believeinthebeavs. Darby High School will lose Kennedy Brown, but they are gaining two really good freshman in Addy Brown and Maryn Archer. Of course, the Beavs will be watching both these girls.

2018-19 ALL-USA Kansas Girls Basketball Team
Kennedy was named player of the year for the state of Kansas by USA today. Will also be playing in the Jordan Brand Classic this weekend, which will be live-streamed on twitter.

While reading recruiting articles on Sasha, I ran across this article on Kennedy Brown, and thought it was worthy of sharing (i just don't remember reading this article before, but I probably did). I always like to hear about the connection SR, and the rest of the staff, make with the girls they recruit. Now that I think about it, maybe I do remember a conversation about how SR got Kennedy to talk. rmancarl - - nice find (re-find)....
I enjoyed reading this article for the 2nd time - it's easy to forget how much time Coach & staff spend in the recruiting process..Not weeks, not months, but sometimes years recruiting the same kid.
The article also reminds us what a profound effect Coach & staff have not only on the recruit but also on her parents....So, thanks for re-posting...
Every time I hear Coach speak at a public event I think to myself: "Yeah, if I had a daughter being recruited he'd win the day. Where do we sign??"
Here we are in early June and Coach is one signature away from a banner recruiting year....All eyes are trained on Hailey Van Lith. If she signs the Beavs have a top of the line roster all but assured for the next 4-5 years....
Don't get me wrong, everything does not hinge on HVL....If she goes elsewhere the Beavs will find another talent....But I think most of us agree that HVL + Goforth = Great Recruiting Class.
