baseba1111 - -I haven't seen Mayhew play so I have no way to judge one way or the other.....I can't imagine Coach signing her to a letter if you and he think the same about her potential to play in the PAC.... If she signs elsewhere then that will pretty much support your assessment of her skills because it is obvious that both she and her family are hoping for an OSU schollie.... On the practical side of things, this is a good year for the Beavs to sign 3 rather than 4, and it is also a good year to pass on a "marginal" player because more talent is lining up for an OSU audition than even before. I don't mean to make her sound terrible, but to my knowledge she was a walk on candidate. Which makes sense seeing her and AG play. KM is a good Oregon 5A player who was on a bad team, but in no way has the skills of our other recruits... signed or lost. Again, my opinion. And, I'm sure her move here was to get better exposure, better overall basketball. But, I don't think there was any true implication a scholly would be waiting?! As for SR and his intent, I have know idea and he's the expert in talent evaluation. But, he did sign a young lady in recent years who I never saw as a D1 player even with her 5A accolades. She really never saw the floor and is no longer with the team. KM is a better player than she was IMHO so...

Rae Burrell apparently has decided on Tennessee, per her Twitter feed. Go Beavers! That's too bad, mostly because she ended up at Tennessee. I was never sure that she would be a good fit here.

Ugghhh!! What is the draw to Tennessee? It's not like they're the Tennessee of old. I'm ready for these top, top girls to start choosing Oregon State.

I am disappointed but not surprised she chose Tennessee. Seems like it's more often than not that players pick the most recent school visited.
I, too, wonder what the draw is to Tennessee these days. Same thing with Baylor. Don't the players and parents read the articles on the internet/newspapers? Or is it short-term memories? How can they not question a head coach who recommends punching someone in the face if they don't want to send their daughters to Baylor?
