The other day I posted my "Losing faith" thread (see below). Add to that how poorly (IMO) Anderson's crew has handled the QB slot, especially this year. Marcus McMarion had shown the ability to win at the PAC12 level. He clearly deserved to open the year as the starting QB. Nope...instead Anderson arbitrarily installed a totally untested pro-style JC QB (and this after having chased a few good pro-style QBs when he arrived). Not surprisingly, the untested QB faded under pressure and committed critical turnovers in the season opener at Ft. Collins. Meanwhile, McMarion is long gone (and I don't blame him).
Much of the Beavers problems in the loss to CSU centered on self-inflicted wounds (e.g., poor defensive coordination, poor play calling). The way Anderson handles, or mishandles, the QB position is perhaps the biggest self-inflicted wound in his program.

Is what it is at this point I guess.. here's hoping all of them prove us doubters wrong from here on out. Me included!
Go Beavs! See y'all inside Reser!

Sorry....hadn't seen any comments since CSU on the subject. But CSU certainly would have underlined any previous threads along these lines.

Until Luton finally shows us something that actually looks better than 3M, it's (rightfully) going to be a topic of conversation.
The real question is why our local media has NEVER questioned Andersen's handling of 3M either this year OR last year.
Did I miss them asking why it took 2 injuries to get 3M playing timeast year, or what exactly it was that got him demoted to 3rd string after a couple of fall practices? Those seem like obvious questions to ask.

We got out rushed by an FCS team 2-1 and Luton is the problem? Are you guys for real?

After 2 games i would say QB is about 7th on the list of things needing to be fixed. About 5 of those on the other side of the ball.

At halftime, the boys on the desk mentioned that this was the 2nd(actually third) season in a row that OSU has started a QB that was not even on the roster the season before, and the lack of continuity is an issue. I think an even bigger issue is having your playcaller in another stadium, judging by the offense. I told our middle son that every season this happens, and I say it's early, they will open up the playbook come conference play. I cannot tell you how many seasons in a row I have been wrong. Too much copying everybody else.

They have the horses on O to outscore the bottom half, but not the creativity in the booth to make it happen. They actually get Tyner outside for 8 yards to start the game and then nothing. They are wasting that speed.

If I can sit there and call where our running back is going, then I am sure the PSU coaches can. Our o-line and d lines are going to get eaten alive by real Pac-12 teams.
