Riley had success at OSU, Andersen hasn't. Until he does there is no comparison between Andersen and coaches like Riley or Erickson. Until Andersen actually wins some games we should stick to comparing him only to Pettibone, Kragthorpe, Avezzano, or Fertig.

I am done with it. I know most of you know I have not been a fan since I saw what he unveiled in 2015... yesterday cemented it for me. I want him fired. and I want him fired now. inexcusable incompetence from top to bottom in everything he has done.

If you feel that strongly raise the money to buy him out. Don't think you'll raise nearly enough.

Seems unreasonable.

Normally, I would just press the "Like" button with a post that I agree with, but in this case I can't, because while I absolutely agree with your post, there is nothing to like about the realistic possibility that with one fell swoop, our football program may have regressed all the way back to the 80s.

Seems unreasonable. Actually, he is proposing to fire the head coach who has a winning record of .240 after 25 games, which doesn't seem so unreasonable. I'd like Andersen to finish out the season, but if we see another 4-8 season that is reflective of the game against Colorado St., then what point would there be in keeping Andersen around?

Wilky? I'm on the record. 8 wins this year or gtfo. That just got s little bit harder to do.

And I do remember you going on the record that you want 8 wins or GTFO. I'm in a fairly similar state, although I would be okay with 7 wins (incl. the bowl game, win or lose). I don't think it's going to happen, based on what we've seen so far.

8 wins is not even remotely possible. 6 pretty much just became impossible. 5 would keep him his job, 6 would indicate momentum all be it slow.

Yesterday's game was a step backward for me. We spent year 1 of CGA's time watching the Beavs get blown out. They might put up a fight in the first half, but then they rolled over and died in the second half. Last year, was different. We played 50 if not all 60 minutes of the game and we competed. Many of our losses were close. That's what I expected yesterday, but we weren't even close.
So I hope that it was due to the heat or the high altitude or some X factor like that. If we don't beat PSU and at least play Minnesota very competitively, then we can be sure that the program isn't gaining any traction, for whatever reason, and we'll be sinking in the mud and the mire for a long time.
I thought that CGA would bring tough, hardcore football to Corvallis. Still waiting to see that.

Good teams can overcome adversity, not sure we are there yet.

I have heard it said that great teams reflect the personality of their head coach. If that is at least partially true then I would say that in the last three years and one game I have not seen the kind of physical and mental toughness the coach so clearly expouses.
I would be interested to hear what he said in private to the team after the game. He took responsibility, said they were not prepared to play and they need o get better. Can't fault that. But I do wonder if he is so much into competing and being "tough" if he has scared players to the point of where they cannot play with the confidence and abandon necessary to really "compete."
One game does not a season make but at what point is it clear that whatever the philosophy it is not working. I do not think we are there yet but the time has come to expect more than what we say yesterday.

OK only GA had a winning record as a head coach at a BCS school before being hired. Kragthorpe and Pettibone were barely above .500 at much lower tier schools, and the other two never ran a program before. All four never head coached again. I do believe GA is better than that, and I do believe he is the same caliber as MR and DE, being that he has been to bowl games at a major U. I did not really buy in though that the cupboard was that bare when he got here, sure some transfers, sure talent was below MR's best years, but what we saw was worse than any MR team ever, and last year finished strong, but we were barely back to being mediocre in the PAC. And that I don't really get.

Luton was 18/31 208 yards and a TD in the first half he was 9/16 for 94 yards 1 TD and 3 INTs in the second half. That is just falling apart.
