We were stripped of our Power 5 ranking. Will we be able to get it back? Or does it even matter? They aren't going to decentralize anything anytime soon. Gotta earn our stripes, I guess.

Will this make it harder to find decent non conference opponents? I guess we still have Portland, Hawaii, and Sac State. Maybe not too bad. I doubt the MW will want to schedule us….

UNLV has to be the next move right? Why not both NV schools? Reno has a lot of potential. It will continue to grow. Lots of businesses from Cali moving to NV for the friendly tax structure.

My guess is they peeled off the highest value teams first as a leverage play. MWC is going to be alot more interested in a bargain now and with people abandoning ship the low value teams will be ditched. There is an element of wait and see but I'm sure the Nevada Schools have some pull in media deals. They probably just aren't worth 30 million in buyouts so we wait to see if this destroys the mwc to avoid fees. There is always off chances of Utah, CU, Zona, ASU, Cal and Stanford coming back into the fold. We now have options and have become the life raft instead of tredding water looking for one. Overall it was a pretty cold blooded business move when the MWC was over playing their hand.

I hope your just joking because I remember how many of us were angry that when we found out that Washington and Oregon jumped ship leaving the rest to tumble like Dominoes , all except for OSU and WSU leaving their futures in question . Whoever is left in the life boat that is now the MWC must be feeling the same way Sucks for them, but there is no obligation for us to be martyrs. This is a solid situation with plenty of upside potential Agree 100%. I can stand this whole s%#t-show. Watching the pre-game for first Big college game of the year this year - Maybe FSU v Miami (or some Florida school vs another) and Booger McFarland said "Miami has put together the best team money can buy....". This turns my stomach. Regardless of what the MW or PAC do - there are going to be semi-pro teams and college teams. Eventually the BIG12 will be cherry picked and relegated - and the SEC and B1G will basically be semi-pro - with little pretense of being college teams other than the names/uniforms. Everyone else will be the JV squad and serve as a minor league for the Semi-Pros. Any good prospects will be poached from the JV's for the foreseeable future. Even if the NCAA throws the PAC-whatever a bone and calls us a P5 school - it is pretty unlikely that many outside of the semi-pro's will be able to compete on an NIL level with the semi-pro teams. Now, the NCAA COULD help by creating some stricter transfer rules - but they are gutless cowards and will not do so. I will always root for the Beavs and will support the new league in whatever form it eventually takes. But I will root even harder for the collapse of the semi-pro teams.

Utah Colorado Arizona ASU Ucla USC Stanford Cal UW whOregon all decent non-con opponents within easy travel distance. Assuming we build out the conference a bit a non-con schedule philosophy should look like this: 1-2 "cupcakes" FCS (big sky, etc.) 1-2 MW level FBS schools 1-2 big 10, ACC, Big 12 level

BIG12 was already cherry picked. Oklahoma and Texas to SEC was the first real domino besides Missouri going SEC and Utah and CU going Pac12. BIG 12 added 4 teams but those 4 teams don't combine to the same value as Texas. They may not even match Oklahoma.

Its not enough to root for the collapse. You have to be actively avoiding those games and those big shows. I will only watch Pac 12 games.

I wonder how all the 'forever Beavs' that bailed on their schoo/teams feel now? inferior I guess? Most of them are doing very well. The USC boys are stars. Martinez is a star... Bolden is the one you really gotta scratch your head at. Was he hurt? didn't sniff the field last week.

The NCAA tried to limit transfers to one freebee and the second one would require the player to sit out a year. This was shot down by the courts. That is not an issue to blame them for.
