Well that would be six teams. Need at least two more First phase.....My guess is they're counting on ACC implosion, and adding Cal and Stanford. Although I can't imagine the stodgy high brow Stanford elites going for that. which is why they bailed to the Another Coast Conference in the first place...but maybe the reality of what they signed up for will change their minds...Or they just buy out of the ACC and rejoin the west coast power conference!

Nice to be in a conference again that has some more teams. Now added a couple more solid football teams and we are good to go. Tulane and UTSA or Memphis please.

Now over it.

So MWC is down to 7 full members. Sounds like the hardball tactics may have been an oops.

Where did I say there were any? Lol You want the Pac-12 to be a P4 conference. You are obviously unhappy with adding G5 schools. A logical person would then assume you want us to rebuild with P4 schools to make us a P4 conference. Hence the statement, "There are no P4 schools to rebuild with." Yeah I found it confusing in re-read. I took it the same way.

I just can't see Stanford. and then in turn, I can't see Cal doing something different then Stanford.

I wonder how all the 'forever Beavs' that bailed on their schoo/teams feel now?

My guess is that there are other MWC teams involved?? Maybe these (4) have gone thru the administrative pieces and have approval. Others still in process? I'm sure if these (4) are indeed secured others are going to want in! I could see UNLV and Utah State very much wanting in. UNLV is coming on as a team, it's been a while since Utah State has strung together a few good years I think. UNLV yeah, for sure. But it is only partially about how good the actually sports are. It is how big your media market is and your alumni base and your reach. That is why UNLV and Vegas is crucial, while Utah State and Logan is, not as much. Although it does flirt with the SLC area. It is alway why I think there is potential with SJSU. I know as a school and a program they aren't there yet. I think they can be and the Bay Area is a desirable place to have a presence. but if we aren't going there, is it because we think we have a shot at Cal coming back? I don't really believe that, but it makes you wonder.

I like the addition of colorado state. Nice stadium, fort Collins nice town, and the New Belgium brewery tour is awesome. If you haven't been to those three you need to.

I’m not saying I know anything. But it’s fairly simple to deduce that without any big name brands this will be a step down as a conference. I will definitely be interested to see what the proposed economics of the deal are. Think of it this way... the old Pac12 isn't coming back. "This" is a huge step up from independence and no conference! I'll guess it's not $30 mil+ per, but if it includes escalation streaming clauses it could be bigger. This conference will have a stranglehold on West Coast inventory the West Coast inventory is the key, which makes UNLV and SJSU a priority if we can’t get cal and Stanford. The negotiations leverage of the conference is that it locks up almost an entire time zone. Definitely a step in the right direction. As one conference commissioner said “ it doesn’t have to be the way it is now but it’s never going back to the way it was “

You mean, do unto others before they do unto you? *not* Maybe...Do unto others as they have done unto you. ;-)
