Kwan hit a two-run shot to right to make it 6-3. Kwan also scored the first run for the Guardians to cut it to 3-1 Cubs. Cubs scored the first three. Guardians scored the next eight to make it 8-3. The Cubs then tied it up before the Guardians won it 9-8. Kwan finished 1/2 with the homer, two walks, two runs, and two RBIs.

With Chapman and Joyce throwing 105 mph fastballs, Skenes throwing an 88 mph change up with 23" of IVB, and the guy throwing 92 mph Sliders out there every game - there is no reason somebody can't hit .400.

Could Steven Kwan hit .300? ...Currently at .298. Month of July BA = .250. Month of August BA = .207 0/4 today to fall to .295. Kwan still in 10th place in batting average, sixth in the AL. .400 is statistically possible but laughably unlikely. Even trying to figure out a way for Kwan to pass Bobby Witt for the batting crown is difficult without Witt immediately falling into a funk. |
