I love how being excited about two talented pitchers coming back turns into an argument in here......oh wait, thats right, every thread turns into an argument...🙄

It’s the comparisons to a #1 MLB draft pick and MLB HOF’s that’s a bit much. Especially after Palmer has thrown 1 inning.

Is it necessary to pop their balloon? Why?

Just having fun, and maybe bringing expectations back into focus a bit.

Kind of silly when my comment about Palmer was meant as complementary and hope for his future. Tall lean kid with a strong arm. Now I guess I would be better off saying Palmer looked like crap and needs an arm transplant. Everyone now back in their happy place?

On a fan message board? No, you "chastise someone for comments like that" because that's who you are. You are not protecting the player, and you know it. Own it.

No, you "chastise someone for comments like that" because that's who you are. You are not protecting the player, and you know it. Own it. You'd be surprised how many players and their families read these boards. Plus, if someone makes a stupid comparison like that after the player has pitched one inning against a bad team, they deserve to be called out on it. That I will own.....feel better?

I understand the hesitation, but I side with the optimists. It’s only early April, so if he can get a little regular action, maybe he will be able to come on strong for the regionals. Or he’ll, I’d be happy if he just sees light work this year but is starting next year. It’s never bad news when a young pitcher throws a dominant and impressive inning. It isn’t the full picture, but it’s a hint. People may not remember that he was also battling for that third starting spot according to Dorman. So clearly the coaches saw that he could make an immediate impact at this level.

All I'm saying is...there is a resemblance in the delivery, which to this point is not in dispute.
