Top of the 6th:
Strikeout on three pitches. Walk on six pitches. Lattery relieves May. Foul out to Guerra. Base hit down the leftfield line. Turley does a hell of a job to keep the lead runner at second. Three-pitch strikeout.
11-1 Beavs after 5½.

Bottom of the 6th:
Kasper strikes out on six pitches. Hainline grounds out on a tough ball to second. Turley singles to the gap in right center. Great play by the right-fielder keeps Turley at first. Peterson singles through the right side to put runners on the corners. Smith homers to the back of the bullpen in left. 14-1 Beavs. Caraway walks on six pitches. Caraway advances to second on a wild pitch and was very fortunate to get in there, because the Lobo catcher almost made a heck of a play. Bazzana strikes out on five pitches.

Strong outing for Aiden May. About as good as his best start last year. Better than his first start last year.

Well when arguably your worst hitter gets one of the 6 bombs and 5 guys have hit a dinger its hard not to get a bit optimistic.

I doubt Caraway will be hitting 9 much longer. He did crush his HR. Baz lofted one! On the other hand, Guerra is 0/3 with two strikeouts and a weak ground ball to third as the two-hole hitter........... Guerra also has an error and made an adventure out of the foul ball that he did catch. His groundout to 3rd was described as a very hard hit ball by our PBP man.

Just got home from work......I was following along.
Got the game cast to my TV......the quality is very impressive! I noticed some not great camera work earlier, but they have all the cameras! And the HD is nice

I don't remember the Beavs hitting more than 6 in a game before? Maybe a while back.

So, our record is 7 home runs in one game, done 3 times, most recently in 2015 against Portland.

I don't remember the Beavs hitting more than 6 in a game before? Maybe a while back. Oregon State last hit three home runs against LSU in what turned out to be the 2023 Baton Rouge Regional Championship Game. 13-7 Tigers. Oregon State last hit four home runs against Sam Houston in the 2023 Baton Rouge Regional opener. 18-2 Beavs. Oregon State last hit six home runs against Western Carolina in the Friday game last year. 23-5 Beavs. The last time that Oregon State hit more than six home runs was on May 13, 2015. Kyle Nobach homered, Jeff Hendrix homered twice, K.J. Harrison homered twice, Logan Ice homered, and Joe Gillette homered in a 20-0 win over Portland at Volcanoes Stadium. The time before that that Oregon State hit seven home runs was on March 7, 2001. Andy Jarvis, Brian Barden, Zach Gordon, Will Hudson, Chris Biles, Josh Carter, and Jason McBride all homered in a 17-3 win over Washington at Goss Stadium. The only other time that Oregon State hit seven home runs was on April 11, 2000. Eric Stark homered, Brian Barden homered, Curtis Davis homered twice, Joe Gerber homered, Rod Gott homered, and Chris Biles homered in a 13-5 win over Portland at Pilot Field (since renamed Joe Etzel Field). No Oregon State team has ever hit eight.

After Ober made a mess of first in 2019, I am jaded against guys who play first, who have little business playing at first. Scott, it's not that hard. Tell him, Wash. "It's incredibly hard."
