Somebody's a Beaver Lock!
Best odds have to be with Will Haverland.
Next Ty Thompson, Amarion York

I am hearing Ty Thompson - but what do I know?

I am hearing Ty Thompson - but what do I know? That would be great. He is a talented kid. Hole’s love affair with grad transfer, plug and play veterans must have made it frustrating for him. They have done this for years. They really didn’t even do a very good job with the stud homegrown talent that they had in Herbert. Justin was so gifted, but their offensive schemes were so weak. If I were a promising young high school QB (and I never was!), I wouldn’t give them a sniff.

What about that big 6’10 tackle that we were pursuing?

Helfrich got fired after his freshman year and the QB coach who convinced UO to recruit him (Yost, something like that) also left. Neither Taggart nor Cristobol has ever been considered an offensive genius.

For whatever 2nd hand/insider info is worth... sitting with a long time former AD employee who actually still hangs around and has connection to both the football and ticket offices says this football staff is "pumped" with the amount of interest in the program. I am guessing from his comments that the next few days could be quite "fun" as far as recruiting goes. He also states that AC is NOT 100% MSU at this point in time. He may indeed end up there, but this staff isn't putting their eggs in that basket and have more than one QB interested and likes what they hear about the scheme/plans.
As for being "right" or "wrong"... really do not care, but love hear positive vibes/possibilities over the doom and gloomer crowd. Football at a D1 level was and is going to be played. Kids are going to want to come to OSU just as kids will transfer out. GO BEAVS

Not sure what is going on with this new commit situation...maybe it's the UO QB but now he's hearing about Chiles? Who knows...

I think if he was all in on MSU, he'd be there by now. the fact he lingered for a practice or two, and is still mulling decisions over tells me it isn't for certain. I think it is still most likely for sure. but not certain.

Term doesn't end untl Friday. He probably had exams, which precluded his going to MSU. Wouldn't have stopped him from committing, of course.

I think UW was legit in play for Chiles too, but it look like they are going with Will Rogers, or so the internet says. It will be interesting to see what happens for sure. I ain't holding my breath over it. Personally, I kind of care about getting one more OL to pair with Van Wells, another DL piece and some LB depth. I think Melvin Jordan fills in for Easton well and has the job, in my humble but wildly uninformed opinion.
Curious no news has really leaked out related to this tweet though. it has been a few hours.

It must be pretty exhilarating as a 16, 17, 18 year old to receive letter after letter from colleges all over the country to try and get you to commit to their school as a freshman. Then a year or more later do it all over again. Cash being thrown at them, free this and that with absolutely no limitations. Some making more money in a year or two playing football then many of us will make in a lifetime. Man their egos must be really huge.

I got a surprisingly large PSAT score my junior year of high school. And I did get quite a few "recruiting" type letters. My ego definitely expanded. If I got noticed because of athletic ability, my ego would have weighed more than an electric vehicle.
