Hankerson, very talented, fast RB from Colorado... A Jam type and can play in the slot was the recruiting blast I believe??
Edit... supposedly not the recruit most will be excited about??
Not sure what that means.
And... again until they are enrolled are these portal announcements meaningful??

Term doesn't end untl Friday. He probably had exams, which precluded his going to MSU. Wouldn't have stopped him from committing, of course. He visited over the weekend. |

I totally skipped over the Hankerson commit. Really nice addition. The Beavers definitely missed a Jam type of runner this season and Hankerson should fit right in with Martinez and Newell.

We got Hankerson. Was the back behind Edward’s. Averaged 4 YPC behind an absolutely abysmal O Line. His offer sheet is insane: Arizona, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, LSU and Texas AtM, just to name a few. This guy is gonna be special. Too bad it’s in a position of not much need. Feel bad for Newell as Hankerson will definitely get PT over him. Still think Ty Thompson is on the horizon.

Amarion York took a visit to OSU this week... He is a big safety at 6'2 202... From a JC in California. He was offered back in September then took another visit this week. He has offers from several schools including Utah State, Boise State, SJSU, Syracuse, and more. Seems like he is trending toward OSU right now. 247sports.com/Player/amarion-york-46103008/ |

Well, I'll eat some crow. One of my fears in all this was that the portal would be a one-way street this year with kids leaving and a tough time attracting players to Corvallis. So far it appears I'm very wrong and that's fantastic.

So far it appears I'm very wrong and that's fantastic. The shear number of players looking for a home is staggering. Theres about 1400 players in the portal now. Essentially every D1 team would need to take 10 players for everyone to have a D1 home. |

At one point there were close to 3k which included all divisions. You are spot on... kids have to find. homes. Not everyone can to to the Power 4 .
