I'm so happy to hear TvO tell the world that she is asking Coach Rueck for the toughest defensive guard assignment. TvO's performance on Frieda Formann was epic, and TvO's team defense has been markedly improved. This can only be a plus for the rest of the players on the team to see their leader give this level of commitment to the defensive side of the game.

I didn't think she would leave but I've been wrong with other players before. I really appreciate that she reconfirmed it. There is at least one other player that I'd bet the house on returning. Between the two there is an excellent chance the rest will stay as well. The only players I feel "certain" about returning are Talia (stated so), AJ (her family relocated to Oregon and her brother is a student at OSU, Donovyn and Kennedie (Oregon kids who stated playing in front of family was important to their decision to committ). The rest, I just hope for the best but feel good about it because they see they can win here and the program is gaining a national presence again. I'm not going to say everyone is definitely sticking around but from a program and team standpoint I don't see anything that would make a player want to leave. Again, I don't believe the players are overjoyed about going from the Pac-12 to the WCC but I don't see it as a deal breaker for anyone. It's great that a team leader like TVO is stating that she's not going anywhere. You watch the different players on this team as far as how they carry themselves, their expressions and interactions with each other and it's hard to believe anybody would want to jump ship. One of the biggest draws for this team to stay together IMO is the realization that this is a special group and has the potential to be a special team. Not only this season but for the next couple of seasons. Really, is there greener grass than that?

After the uo game I'm thinking there are two more that aren't going anywhere.
It makes a difference when the mistakes are selfless and not selfish.

I'm sure one must be Lily. She is truly coming into her own. Not only is she an emerging 3-point assassin--Graves at his post-game press conference complained that he couldn't double Reagan because of the Beav's shooters--but she is earning more minutes on the floor because of her passing and defense.

I can maybe see Martha leave, with the two freshman pgs she won't get much playing time anymore. I don't think anyone else is considering it though. No info, just my optimistic view . Even in the WCC with less exposure, this team could be something special this year, and again next year. Maybe they can get some nc games with some big name teams to bolster their resume. We'll see, but again, hopefully no one leaves this year.

Lily is one. After reading their X posts from after the game, I get the feeling that Adlee is going to stick around too.

And with Rueck saying in a presser that Kennedie plays with a "chip on her shoulder", the signs are there.

How does "chip on her shoulder" equate to wanting to leave? How do we know what the "chip" is about?

You are projecting some personal paranoia (fear of abandonment?) that has zero to do with the team or any of the student-athletes named.

I took Rueck's comment that she plays with a chip on her shoulder to mean she plays with a lot of fire not that she is displeased to be a Beav.

Maybe she goes home and plays professionally? I have no idea and don't even know if she is considering it. But I still see her MAYBE leaving. And I don't see Kennedie leaving, she plays quite a bit, and will only have more minutes when Talia leaves. Just my thoughts. I don't want any of them to leave.
