Why didnt we end up playing uc davis since it was scheduled Today is Wednesday. The game is Friday. Unless we fire up the flux capacitor you just have to be patient and wait.

That might determine the speed in which I drive to the game!

I like the timing of this game. UC Davis isn't great. Nor are they terrible. What I like is that they have the two very solid scoring guards Turner and Sabel. I'm watching for growth from the Beavers young guards. Turner and Sabel are both seniors with lots of experience. They will be a good test for our backcourt.

Experience means a lot in wbb. It will be a good test for our young guards. I'd like to see Dom and Adlee get some more playing time just to see where they are at. Maybe even get Susana and Sela in there.
I hope that the refs are going to let Raegan play without calling fantom fouls on her.

Yes, I'd like to see those last two also, Sela has "suited up", but Suzanna has not and no way will we find out why she isn't, probably.

During the pregame interview before the UAPB game, it was indicated that Susana would redshirt this year. The decision was related to player development and not an injury (I don't remember the exact wording but it was something along the lines of "we're going to give a year ..."). Rueck did praise her potential so she's not being written off, we'll just have to wait a year to see her.

If what you report about Susana is correct, then what we see is a classic example of OSU's (Rueck's) commitment to player development rather than player replacement. In today's market redshirting a player is a dicey proposition as you might lose them if another school evaluates them higher than you do, or you might miss out on another prospect if the roster looks full....
If Susana develops into a player this will make me even more of a fan of OSU WBB - - if that's possible... GO BEAVS!!

For those who want to hear for themselves what Rueck said about Susana, go to 22:56 of this archived broadcast (if it's still available by the time you click the link). Not exactly as I recalled but close enough. Anyway, after praising the progress already being made by the other 5 newcomers, Rueck adds: "And then Sue Yepes, our junior college transfer, the plan at the moment is to redshirt her this year, but she's made huge strides as well."

I just looked at their results. UC Davis lost to both Portland St. and San Diego St. by 9 (and both of those teams have been sketchy in their other games). Only win is against Academy of Art, whatever the hell that is. This is a team that OSU should be able to beat quite easily.

Should be a 30 plus point win. Hopefully we start to see the guards making shots. Big advantage inside all night but also,a good opportunity for the perimeter players Talia, Adlee, Lilly, Dom, AJ and Donovan to get going.
Honestly, looking at that guard/wing grouping, it's going to be imperative in the season success for SR to pair that down in order for there to be any level of consistency. Might be his biggest preseason challenge.
Inside, it's pretty clear, Reagan, Timea, Reese are the big 3.
