Of course I love my livestream connection a few minutes ago...I assume it's good news? We are the Pac-2. for at least 24 or so hours.

So give the 10 $20M each (of the forecast $35M) the rest goes to the Beavs and Cougs. Done deal...

He also issued a temporary stay of that order until Friday to allow UW to seek appeals. So an appeals court now has until Friday to issue a continued stay, or decline the case.

If uW was smart they'd take the deal. But then that's a big if.

Yep, this was just round 1. Round 2 is coming up this week, and is even bigger. This will be in the court for years, but what matters is what behavior is allowed in the meantime. And that will be decided by the appeals court this week.

If uW was smart they'd take the deal. But then that's a big if. Given the complete undressing OSU gave that UW lawyer and how overall weak their case was, you'd think. The ruling was generally quite fair and gave the 10 schools significant standing to later sue for harm if OSU/WSU meddled to much this year. It is no assured thing an appeals court issues a stay here.

Better yet, withhold 10M per school to cover unforeseen liabilities and legal expenses incurred by conference "members" pertaining to conference business. They want to bring lawsuits till the cows come home, then they will be drawing down their own withheld revenue..

I wonder if mediation might make more progress now, since the initial direction has been set. One can hope....

Having the facts on your side makes for an effective and persuasive argument.

The Traitors will be likely to concede more.

I wonder if mediation might make more progress now, since the initial direction has been set. One can hope.... Given Zona's new found $240M gap plus Cal AD needing a bailout from the university to stay in the black, I can see pressure mounting from within the 10 to resolve this and move on. They need the money too.

I wonder if mediation might make more progress now, since the initial direction has been set. One can hope.... It sure will. Like the lawyers said at the beginning....With each side believing that they were right, neither was willing to capitulate. Now, the law is on our side. UW et al will realize that the deck is stacked against them. They'll want to cut their losses. In other words, they had to try. They lost. Now the real bargaining can begin.
