It is basically the ONLY option if the Big-12 doesn't take us. There really isn't another one. You could try and cobble together an 8+ team conference out of a mixture of AAC and Mountain West teams. That could work, as well. Otherwise, you are correct. If you cannot get the AAC teams on board, you probably need to partner with 10+ Mountain West teams and make that work. Yeah, but same media math, with even less ideal travel. Unless we are stealing decent teams out of the BIG(s), SEC and/or ACC there is nobody left that commands the media money we need to build the conference to pay out what we need to continue to operate at our current level in the long term. |

So lets do some guessing here...Let's say OSU and WSU go to the Big 12. The Big 12 and AcC then do some horse trading. Cal and 'furd to the B12 and Cincy. UCF and maybe Iowa State to the ACC (plus some of our P2 cash as Cal and 'furd are likely more desired than the other two or three) much nicer setup from a regional standpoint overall
