If we let the other schools vote on Wednesday even just on the one employee retention plan, they get to point to that as precedence... So that isn't really acceptable either.

According to the lawyer "He is doing his level best to steer this sinking ship from going completely under" But who put the giant gaping whole in the hull of the ship??? The schools who bailed! Especially USC, UCLA, u of ho, and UW!!

It sounded like the defense argument was to protect jobs at the Pac 12....weak.

Judge seemed like he was really listening to the Pac-12 lawyer, and agreeing some... so I was a little worried, but then he granted the motion anyway The lawyer is still arguing and interrupting the judge... This judge is pretty relaxed. I have seen judges yell at people speaking out of turn... The judge did grant the ability to vote on the single employee retention issue, but only if the vote is unanimous.

I think he granted any unanimous decisions, not just employee retention, which seems fine.

This restraining order puts pressure and urgency on the secondary legal decision that need to be made, who can be on the board now. Which is kind of the whole point. Pac-12 was dragging their feet on that issue. Now if any decisions need a vote they have to decide on who gets to be on the board before ANY vote can happen (other than this one narrow employee retention issue that they need to resolve).

so other than the retention agreement, it sounds like next stop is determining if the ugly-10 in fact given notice of leaving the conference and thus don't have voting rights.....

Of course it matter what the judge actually wrote in his decision and of course those words will be interpreted different by both sides Regardless, unanimous is a very good thing.

I don't like the fact that any of the ugly 10 get a voice on any decision, unanimous or not.
Seems to set a precedent.
Pac2 can make that decision without the others
