Omar Speights looks just fine playing for an SEC team. All over the field and making tackles no problem. I wouldn't say he was a weak link last year but it is interesting that he was the slow ILB for us last year but hes doing fine against FSU. What? Omar was a great player for us. Slow compared to what… you? Of course he was great, what's up your bum today. He was the slowest regular ILB last year. Colletto and EMA were both better in coverage. His ability to cover pass catchers in space was the ONLY part of his game that was lacking.

There’s a reason LSU wanted him.

Then why did we sub him out on coverage packages with Colletto? His PFF for coverage was the lowest of starting ILB from memory. He blew a wheel route in the LSU game tonight and the back went for a TD scamper. It's okay for him to have a flaw. Should probably go review some of Jacks long runs. No chance lol

He still would not be the best in coverage.

The best thing that happened this weekend was in the three games that mattered the most, the SEC got its collective ass kicked up and down the field.
Utah over Florida.
North Carolina over South Carolina.
Florida State over LSU.
Neither game was even remotely close.
The only game of consequence won by the SEC was Tennessee over Virginia, who lost their standout QB in the transfer portal and is supposed to be awful.
But you won't hear a word about this from the Gameday guys, Paul Finebaum or the usual SEC apologists.

Watching their 4th down conversion attempts I think the OC might need to find a new job!?

D’Sean Perry, Lavel Davis Jr. and Devin Chandler were also shot and killed at the end of last season. They canceled the final two games of Virginia's season last year as a result. I am curious to see how Virginia responds the rest of the season.

Clemson really seems like they could use a talented veteran QB

The last time that both Duke and Oregon State started a season a combined 13-2 or better?
November 15, 1941.
Japan made its final offer to avoid war with the United States five days later (which was a lie designed to buy time), and the Kidō Butai began leaving Japanese waters for the attack on Pearl Harbor four days thereafter (before the Untied States had an opportunity to respond). This was all, of course, after more than two years of war in Europe.
Duke and Oregon State's combined Game 15 is October 28, 2023.
