Look at the tape and apply my system to stop what they were doing with my players. Coaches don't look at stats to design a game plan. They look at analytics of what plays and systems they are using. They may also scheme around star players. They won't see PSU rushes for 100 yards in the first quarter and design the game around running. They look at the defensive scheme and personnel to figure out what may work for their team and build other options in if it doesn't. watching the ducks play may be palatable to you with your wife and to CarlosDanger and maybe even Smails who seems bitter enough to enjoy the abuse, but not me. I liked the stat that a lowly team like PSU could gain 100 yards on the ground in the first quarter against the mighty Ducks. And I’m surprised to receive so much flack about my comment on a Beaver sports board. Some of you are showing your green. I’m just of the opinion that I wouldn’t give a f%#* if we gave up 300 yds rushing if we win by 74 pts. Your opinion may vary. |

Why are you so generous now? You're trying to create a narrative. They gave up 100 yards rushing in 1 quarter and then 50 the following 3, in the first game of the year, against a mobile QB. They gave up 5 first downs on 12 possessions after the 2nd drive of the game. EIGHT of PSU's 13 possessions were 3 and outs. Their defense almost certainly is trash, but you're trying to be clever and failing. |

I don’t think that shows anything. I’ll wait and see how they do against Texas Tech. Do you see that our mountain west brother Wyoming is hanging with Texas Tech? At least in the second quarter they are. 17-10 Texas Tech. I has been an interesting game to this point, We will see if it holds. |

Texas Tech QB, Shough though......just seemed not very innovative once he was put under any pressure. Wyoming had a very effective game plan in place after waking up in the second quarter. Texas Tech was vulnerable consistently against short passing in the middle all night long. Wyoming definitely exposed some weaknesses. |

Great win for the Pokes, whose QB is serviceable but about 1/2 as good as Josh Allen.
Wyoming dominated that game over the final three quarters.
I am no Duck lover but I expect they'll steamroll TTU by 30.
There are probably people still passed out down by the Buckhorn in downtown Laramie.

Omar Speights looks just fine playing for an SEC team. All over the field and making tackles no problem. I wouldn't say he was a weak link last year but it is interesting that he was the slow ILB for us last year but hes doing fine against FSU.
