I'd feel more certain if George K said he was making the presentation

I hope to be shocked by an amazing deal leaving sc, fucla and the buffs saying WTF did we do? ..but will likely be unimpresssed and we will see more schools bail.

I am hoping for a surprise, now that we have 9 instead of 12 to divy up the revenue. A combo of cable, streaming and/or access to an improved Pac12 network, with a higher price tag, would be awesome. Being realistic, that is not likely to happen. If we add SDSU, CSU, SMU, etc - I would not give them a full stake on this contract. One of the perks of waiting until after the contract is done to add more schools. Once they pay their dues, demonstrate a plan to upgrade their facilities/ academics where needed to be competitive, they become a full revenue sharing partner on the next contract.

Yep we are in a perfect situation to be negotiating from strength.

Don't SDSU, CSU and SMU all have essentially brand new football stadiums? CSU. Capacity 41K SDSU. Capacity 35,000 (same as remodeled Reser) SMU. 32,000 (Same as WSU Martin Stadium).

And add per Title IX, any additional sports that need to be added. We will assume the academics are already there.

Feels like he is locking the barn door after the cows have already left Exactly. Pondering the timing of things. P-12 media days came and went with no major announcements or updates from Commish, next thing you know CO is bolting back to where they came from. Part of me thinks they set that event as a milestone before they made their move.

Yep we are in a perfect situation to be negotiating from strength. You would not give some schools full stake? If ore and Washington wanted full stake plus some extra for them would that be okay to get them to sign. Unequal sharing okay at this point? Seems like everyone in the pac is all for themselves so I could see negotiations within negotiations. Especially from the four corners and ore/wash schools.
