Supposedly scheduled after said announcement from the conference on the media deal. So result of this meeting probably dependent on what is presented. Arizona can go the the pac-12 meeting and basically name their revenue share amount. If not to their liking they will be gone before the sun sets. Smart move by them to go in with leverage. "Hey, we have another meeting, lets see what you have." "Match what we would get from the Big 12 in revenue share or we are gone"
No they can't. No way uo and UW lay down and take a 20% pay cut (or whatever) to make UA the top paid school in the conference. |

It's all an effing mess... reminds me of all the differing "facts" a while back of...
But, I'm in for all home games. I'm scheduled for (3) of the away games so far.
And... it won't change next season no matter the conference BS that comes to fruition.

Who the Hell thinks Arizona has any football clout, which is what this is all about. I would lament it because there goes another good shot at a W! (Unless they pull a first time Frosh starter out of their pocket! Looking at you, Nick Foles!) They got no juice since they fired Dick Tomey! Dumb |

Wake me in about 32 hours. If your name doesn't rhyme with George Kliavkoff and your mug doesn't match the one on his license, it's like watching my dog chase her tail. Entertaining at first, but got old quick.
Seriously - the ad revenue on sites trafficking this stuff will probably add up to a year's payout by the time GK finally announces the deal. We're nothing if not staying on everyone's radar...not for the best reasons, but under the "no news is bad news" philosophy of brand management, it's just good news since Friday...
But in the interest of chipping in a few pennies, I heard from a friend who's read a podgram by a guy who reports about the people who write about the behind-the-scenes people who dust the offices that they're going to form a Tiger Team Task Force with Finance Veeps from all the campuses to really put the screws to the media to get a better deal, because, as you know, the longer we wait the better our position as the Pac-9 in the dealmaking becomes.

Best bet, methinks, is to merge the entire PAC 9 with the Big 12, and get San Diego State to make it 10. Establish a Pacific Division including at least the 7 schools in the states that are actually on the Pacific. Combining the conferences gives you a whole bunch of real estate and tv markets.
If we try to stay the PAC 9, it's all gonna fall apart - and maybe it already has, and just hasn't been announced yet

Dumb And the next one leaves and the next one leaves the following week and when WSU, OSU are the only ones left then you will be saying time to add more to the pac 2 .....we did not need the other ones anyway. Point being once Arizona bolts the other corner schools left step it up and ore and wash will want out. At best it just delays realignment a year or two. I am sure Uncle Phil will write a more or less blank check in the short term for ore in any amount they need if they walk from the pac but they are gone as soon as they can get out. I don't think Stanford and Utah will sit silent either. |

Dumb Arizona doesn't really seem to care about football and schmucks like Jason Scheer cannot wait to get to the Big 12 because of the "elite basketball" they play. I think they're forgetting that Arizona is no longer all that great in basketball and when you're playing all the "elite basketball" teams, someone has to lose. This is the same circle jerk logic that USC/UCLA follow. "We can play Ohio State and Michigan every year!" - "You can have two more losses every year!" |
