Hopefully this exposé article from Crepea wakes up the powers that be in the UO AD and the beach volleyball team gets some better treatment as a result...

Their so-called efforts to comply with the letter and spirit of the law are inadequate and not in good faith.
Anyone surprised? The entire culture in that athletic department is rotten from stem to stern.

A couple Olympics back a women's group were raising a fuss about the female players wearing bikini tops and bottoms. Players representing most if not all the countries involved came out and said they wear them because the outfits don't trap much sand. That was a complaint the players had at the Brazil Olympics. Because it is their winter it was cooler than normal and a lot of the players wore tights and long sleeve shirts. If it got warm enough they removed the long clothing in favor of the bikini outfits.

I know it was a while ago, but my Sis In Law played softball for them and they shared beds on roadies. Part of the reason she quit.
I think we better be sure this doesn’t happen in our lower tier sports before we pile on too much.
