Yes, track athletes often compete indoor and outdoor. Not always. Indoor track and beach volleyball pale in comparison to outdoor track and indoor volleyball, hence the arena football to real football comparison. In the NCAAs, each beach volleyball team has five separate teams playing simultaneously. Much better than indoor volleyball in several ways. If Oregon State ever finds some money, they should start up a team. Boy, why do you think that is? |

Viewership for Olympic and professional beach volleyball is higher than indoor volleyball. In the NCAAs, each beach volleyball team has five separate teams playing simultaneously. Maybe they book a spot at a youth hostel. |

I personally disagree, which is my primary point. Beach volleyball has higher viewership for several reasons. I imagine one is the outfits. However, another is that beach volleyball has fewer players, so individuals shine a bit brighter. |

I love how there's a chart for how much money football spends compared to all the rest, but not one for revenue. Clearly they need to treat *people* right, and if the UO is out of compliance they need to be held accountable, but the whole thing is incredibly disigenuous. Clearly someone (or multiple someones) in leadership failed in regards to this specific program, and to the title IX compliance overall.

I meant in the sports part of it, not viewership, etc. Beach volleyball/arena football/indoor track are the poor cousins of the real thing. |
