Didn't OSU play in black in a must win against Georgia in 2006 that was a day game? They play the day games later now. The heat index was 10 degrees higher for yesterday's game than Oregon State's against Georgia in 2006. You can get away with playing in black with a heat index in the low 80s with almost no humidity. Low 90s, though? From your Federal Government: Likelihood of Heat Disorders with Prolonged Exposure or Strenuous Activity: Extreme Caution. Both Oregon State losses in 2018 were in black. The first game was played with a heat index of 103, another 10 degrees hotter than the Stanford game yesterday. A heat index of 103-104 is where Extreme Caution slides over into Danger. Still stupid. I've never cared for the black jersey. I just don't like the look. IMO The home whites & road grays are superior, they just look better.
