Ok, this is getting ridiculous. Are we seriously going to watch the top three seeds fall in their first games? Maybe the top 3 seeds should f%#*ING HOME TEAM...not saying it matters, but so f'ing stupid that they are road teams It's supposed to be a Tournament. Everyone gets to be home once. Arizona State screwed it up by losing as the home team. Otherwise, we could have packed it in like Washington.

Regionals have now changed so higher seed is always home NIT tourney in hoops the higher seed always hosts In the 12 team Football Tourney they are doing, the higher seeds will get to host in the first few rounds If you are a LOSER and finish 4th or lower, you shouldn't' get to host when you play a WINNER who finishes 1st through 3rd.... Freaking participation trophy culture at it's best....

Virginia was the road team today and beat Georgia Tech 15-1 in seven innings. Clemson was the road team and won 14-5. We lost. There is a reason that both teams are likely top eight seeds. They win, whether they are the "road" team or not.

5 of 6 teams with 10+ runs today....combo of Arizona and Wednesday games makes this a little silly The Pac-12 needs to flex the West Coast Conference out of Las Vegas and take over that Ballpark. 13 degrees cooler there than Scottsdale tomorrow and Friday. And more shade than Scottsdale Stadium! Scottsdale was always a stupid place to play the Tournament. Everyone keeps harping on the Tournament. The Tournament isn't the issue. The location is.

I am beginning to worry that Washington tanked that Cal series. My one hope is that Stanford cares enough about being a top eight seed that it puts together a good effort against Oregon. Or that Stanford wants revenge after Oregon outscored them 16-7 at PK. C'mon Stanford, you're our only hope!

And more shade than Scottsdale Stadium! Scottsdale was always a stupid place to play the Tournament. Everyone keeps harping on the Tournament. The Tournament isn't the issue. The location is. It's actually both. The location is utter stupidity. The way each year was set up even worse. If a team can lose on purpose to still reach a semi final you don't have a real tournament. First, if you're going to have a postseason tourney there are multiple quality MILB fields that could be scheduled/contracted with to vary the locations. Second quit over thinking the set up. There are lots of possibilities, but it's post season they've played 30 league games. Everyone has played each team 3 times (except in rare weather instances). Each team doesn't need or deserve 2+ games in the tourney. Be creative... >8 top teams, single elim first game. Dbl elim for final 4; >all 11 teams, 3 pigtail games 6 vs 11, 7 vs 10, 8 vs 9, winners advance to fill 8 team bracket. Top seed vs lowest seeded team advancing, etc. See above for 8 team field; But, this isn't about RPI for the Pac12. No one's RPI is changing dramatically due to this tourney. If you have to play the RPI game schedule better NC road or neutral site opponents. It's about $$ and even then it doesn't make each of the 11 teams enough to get them in the black.

Ticket sales have to be pretty pathetic. The stands are empty for these games
