Why didn’t SR ask for challenge call on jump ball? Doesn’t he care about win?

It didn't come down to today. This team hasn't been a tournament team all year. And the downward trend continues.

Disappointing. I don’t think the refs were the reason for the loss though. Should’ve stayed with the tighter rotation and built our lead instead of wasting it trying to give PT opportunities to LH, MP and AB who weren’t productive.

Much more recently than your last one. Well you properly identified me as not a PAC 12 coach, good for you. However, our coach currently has the team in 10th place in the league. You don't get it, Judge Smails...the last couple of years is just a bump on the road back to the Final Four! Women's basketball hasn't changed a bit and Rueck is a brilliant and adaptive coach! |

This game was lost by playing players that could not maintain the lead. We kept going back to players who weren't skilled enough to keep us in the game. The biggest asset they had was attacking the basket because they could maneuver around mitrovic. Refs weren't fair and blew the whistle any time cal penetrated. This was a very serious game for this coaching staff because we have all the tools but these coaches stayed to much with the same core group. I bet AJ didn't even play but she has the best mid range game and tvo can't hit much at all right now so why no AJ? Wow I'm shocked we didn't win. Wow 7 losses does us in. Something has to change.beers would have dominated cal inside if allowed to start. Cal had no height why play mitrovic in that instance. This loss was lethal.

Umm, AJ didn’t play (or even dress for the game) because she’s injured. I don’t recall, was Shalexxus on the court for the last possessions? |

AJ is out injured. Starting Beers wouldn't have changed the fact that the refs were calling a foul on her everything a cal player got close to her, Jelena received the same treatment. |

Scoring only 9 points in the 4th quarter won't get the job done in a game within 10 points. Like I have posted before, Rueck doesn't want to change his philosophy. He doesn't want to adapt his style to todays game. Also, like I posted before, don't be surprised to see more exits to the portal. I haven't seen anything, so far, that indicates Rueck is willing to change.
