OSU's press was working because UW was trying to burn time, not score. ASU used to use the press a lot and it was rather effective, but they also had two full squads of players that they rotated, we don't have that luxury. We have 11 active players on the roster. Two (2) of our freshmen never see the court, and it would be good to expose them to defense. At this juncture anything we can do to slow down our opponent's offense is worth trying. We don't have to press the entire game. We have enough players to press more often than we are currently. |
