Mannen shoots 100%, second leading rebounder, and tied for most assists. But I think she’s most likely getting minutes because she’s making the fewest mistakes on both ends of the court. Some need to take her minutes by playing better, not just having more potential. Did Mannen not wind up 'guarding' the girl who had about 7 inches on her and was 7 for 9? Right. And whose fault was that? Who decided that was a good match up? Playing time can be adjusted, but I'm pretty sure that the players don't decide that. |

These free passes some are giving out on the coaching side does not seem right. |

I'm becoming more and more concerned about the health of Talia. She just looks like she's in pain. When she got subbed out in the first half, she was pressing on her right rotator cuff. If she has a problem that requires surgery, I'd rather see her taken out now, operated on in time to start next season. We also know that a little pain doesn't deter her in the slightest. Yeah, I was thinking the same thing after the game. I think that if that performance was due to her rotator cuff or whatever physical issue she's dealing with, then it might be a good idea to shut her down and get it taken care of. It's kind of hard to tell for certain, though. She might look just fine Sunday. I think it's something that should be watched in the next couple of games. She most likely will want to finish the season either way. |

The girls don't play rock paper scissors in the locker room to determine minutes. That's Scott's decision, and it's a bad one to play Mannen 33 minutes. |

Fans everywhere refer to their team as "we." Not all of them, but enough that anyone with even minimal wits gets the drift.
Your caustic, petty comments are tiresome, irksome, and create no gain.
You know a few things about the game, why not stick to that.

My second question does mannen start for any other pac12 team? No. But she is better than some people think. Would be a great off the bench spark for every other team. Rueck not only starts her but has played her more and more. Mannen hustles and plays hard but I doubt she would be make the team on any other school in the conference. |

Not a huge surprise, but WSU takes down Oregon. Wazzu likely better than their record suggests since they were missing Leger-Walker.

And in closing highly recruited players from say Wisconsin and Texas don't come all the way to Corvallis so they can sit on the bench game after game after game. I mentioned this last night but with 2 minutes in the game down by 10 you go to a zone? WTF? It should be a time you are running all over the court trying to disrupt things. I firmly believe that the person lost is rueck. Especially when the portal is as easy as filling out a one page form. Scott's bigger issue off this season is retaining the good ones he has. I would say that is the case for the lower 5 pac-12 teams. Retaining the good ones. |
