Beers is averaging 14.4 points and 8.1 rebounds. Seems like she's an upgrade. Mit is averaging 8.6 pts and 9.7 rebounds. Timea has yet to play, we will see how her stats compare to Corosdale's at some point down the road. The real issue has been the backcourt. TVO is really the only player providing offense here and otherwise it's been below average point guard play, poor 3-point shooting as well as the speed/quickness issues. Opponents are shooting only .311 from beyond the arc. Not much better than our .282. We did poorly last year as well. I wonder how much of this is attributable to moving the 3-point line to correspond to the pro 3-poine line prior to last season? Maybe. One would think Rueck would understand that if it is going to be a much lower percentage play that he would adjust the offense accordingly. But I'm not sure about the effect nationally.

Huh. When coaching youth sports I always banged on “If you’re staying the same, you’re getting worse. Because everyone else is working to get better.” I figured these highly paid coaches would know and prevent that. Not to mention, do you really think they are as good now as past teams? I don’t see it. I don’t get it. I’m not impressed.* *Michael Keaton in Gung Ho But here's the deal: we lost four H.S. All-Americans ... let's see how they're doing ... Jones 10.3 ppg, 6.0 rpg Brown 9.2 ppg, 4.7 rpg Corosdale 4.9 ppg, 3.0 rpg Kampschroeder 4.4 ppg, 3.1 rpg I'm not sure -- even if those four stayed -- that they'd be doing any better. There is simply no substitute for a player with skills, desire, and an attitude that says "Happy to be a Beaver...I'll do whatever is best for the team" Of the four above, Corosdale most completely fills that bill. Can't complain about a graduate transfer that adds "Duke" to their academic resume. But - None of them measure up to Beers.

Corosdale fulfilled her obligation to the beavs. Beers has a much higher ceiling than the others. And she appears to really like OSU.

As werebeaver said in a post a few weeks ago, I am rapidly forgetting all about T Jones and K Brown. Raegan is clearly our most effective post since Marie's monster senior year, and she doesn't get in foul trouble like Taylor did.
