"Marta, Lily, Adlee, AJ, and Jelena have all given us flashes of what they are able to do. They need to learn to be more consistent." ----- I think they have been pretty consistent since the season began in November. They don't need to be more consistent they need to be more better. Shoot better, defend better, play better, be better. This team has plenty of consistency. That's the problem. GO BEAVS!!

Your expectations are unreasonable. We returned 4 --- FOUR -- from last year. We are a very young team. The freshwomen are making the adjustment from high school to D1. They were recruited because of their talent. Now they're learning what it means to play D1 basketball. We are playing without the number three high school player. Marta, Lily, Adlee, AJ, and Jelena have all given us flashes of what they are able to do. They need to learn to be more consistent. Patience. You do realize the programs record over the past 8 years is trending downward? Don't need more patience. Agree with both posters to an extent. The team is very young and Timea has yet to play, so we probably should be patient until the entire team has played together for a time. And someone has to develop into a viable point guard. IMO, the lack of team speed/quickness is a big problem and can't be solved through experience. This ties directly with the downward trend of the record. Yeaney is probably the quickest player on the team and she only has this season left.

I am "on hold" with any judgment on what the coaches should do until we get Timea on the floor with some games under her belt. After watching the replay, we clearly need more time together as a team, but there were flashes of potential. Our guards have to start hitting their open shots for the inside/outside game to be successful. GO BEAVS!

Don't think its clever. Starting with 14-15 the teams pac12 standings have gone 1st, 1st, 1st, 3rd, 3rd, 5th, 5th, 8th, this year?

It was just wait until Yeaney hits the floor and now it is just wait until Gardiner hits the floor and then it will be just wait until next year when the new recruits hit the floor. Meanwhile everyone else is also improving too.

Well, you're going to need more patience. This team has several problems, including a decided lack of depth (as evidenced by all the minutes Noelle is getting), and a marked inability to make 3 point shots ( under 26% in 8 of 13 games). The transfer portal has been disastrous for us, as we've lost 4 McDonald's All Americans and never picked up anybody of that caliber.
On the bright side this year, Raegan used the early games to get herself ready for D1 Power 5 basketball, and Scott would be foolish to start Jelena over her going forward. Aaron seems to be settling in, and I'd continue to start her. I'd also start Bendu over Martha simply based on D1 experience, and, when she's played her way into shape, I'd start Timea. (Simply have to believe she's the real deal.) Add in TVO, and that's a pretty fair starting lineup, with all back next year except Bendu.
If we're to have success this year, however, the bench is going to have to contribute. Jelena and AJ are the 2 who will need to up their games for that to happen.
For next year, we're going to have to get a big time player or two in the portal; I don't think either of our recruits will be a game changer their freshman year.

Not quite sure why Scott pulls a lineup that is working and puts in substitutes ( Duke, O of O , and last night.) It has happened in several games that we have lost——I think he misses the advice of assistant coaches that have left.
Not sure why he didn’t keep the Beers/ Metrovich high low option in as I think k it could have had an impact on #13.
We will see if things improve tomorrow!

Absolutely no comment here. I would get in trouble with some of you.

An observation from last night's game: Destiny Littlejohn (transfer from SC, I think) and Rayah Marshall both went up for a rebound, jostled for it together and the ball went out of bounds in our favor. Destiny yelled to the coach "I'm talking, but she's not listening", twice. She did that in front of her teammate. I can't imagine that happening with our team. I think the wins will come. As with last year, we need a leader to step up. We (I) need to be patient and continue to show up and support our team always.
