Played baseball for four years in high school ...started three. Coached by a guy who was on the 1960's Linfield National title team. Lots of baseball learned in my four years. Some of us are above the rudimentary level of baseball knowledge. I read that as "Coached a guy". I was seriously wondering if you were the oldest living beaver fan for a second haha No...my coach Gary was on the 1960's Linfield baseball national title team. He passed a year or so ago...

Hey man, we appreciate your insight. But sometimes it feels like you're a teacher talking to first graders. I may not have the depth of baseball knowledge you do, but I'm not an idiot. Cox was originally a Duck but made the wise decision to transfer to Linfield and was the starting catcher on the '66 Linfield team. Cox replaced Oregon State great Cecil Ira at Philomath High and coached there from 1969-1976. Gary Cox just died on July 3, 2021 at the age of 77.

Used to spend winters down in Arizona. Told me the longest homer hit in Arizona was the one hit by Adley a few years ago...that includes the spring training MLB guys he watched. He was a beaver baseball fan,and an old school coach. He coached Ken Noble and Rob Drahn both very good osu players. He coached me in the early 1980's.

I'm excited about Quinn this year and honestly believe McDowell will break out. Hoping Reed can be healthy and give it a go If McDowell sees the field, we are doomed. Speaking of McDowell....and Reed :McDowell - enough said Reed - on a bright note he is on the Corvallis Knights 2023 Roster (along with Easton Talt, Jacob Krieg and Sam Stuhr).

Yes, I have already eaten crow on that one. I don't know what happened in the offseason, but McDowell appears to be a different player. Good for him.
