Players grow with hard work and experience. Physical maturation alone accounts for some improvement. Player development has been a given with Oregon State baseball for a long time.
Three names - Brown, Kmatz, and Hunter.
How much improvement? In what areas?

Ferrer, Forrester and the Aussie are the three players I would be looking for break out dominating All-American kind of years.

If Kmatz cuts down on HR balls (no reason to think he won't), he should be a top two starter. Don't have a feel for Hunter. Gotta add A.J. Lattery (who has rarely had a bad outing) to the list. A healthy A.J. in 2023 will be a big part of the in-game pitching strategy for the Beavs. If he's not a weekend starter, he'll be in the top 1 or 2 pitchers to make meaningful relief appearances.

I'm excited about Quinn this year and honestly believe McDowell will break out.
Hoping Reed can be healthy and give it a go

To this point, he looks out-matched against D1 pitching. If he did break out, that would be pretty sweet though cuz the kid oozes athleticism. Edit to add..... I see nukes post that he had a good summer. I do recall someone posting his numbers earlier in summer.....I've heard hes a good kid too. I'll be rooting for him to take the next step for sure.

Tanner Smith: his arm will be strong and he’ll hit .310(ish) with 10-15 bombs. A third baseman who isn’t a liability at the plate . Joey Mundt, healthy and in the rotation. Tyree Reed

What I expect to see in 23 is a very talented and athletic cast of newcomers, some of which will make a major contribution from day one in Surprise.

The tools and potential of those 3 freshman outfielders is downright frightening.
Macias - Reed - Turley
The potential to be the best outfield in college baseball.
* I am assuming Macias plays LF in spite of being a good SS in high school. He has OF playing experience with the arm and speed to excel on the picket line.
Coaching that kind of potential is enough to put on a big smile on our four coach's faces every morning rolling out of the sack and heading for work.
